Thank you so much for this very clear tutorial! I have a dress with a shirred panel on the back bodice like the one in the purple bodice you showed. But to make matters worse, it has a zipper in the center back. The zipper was bulging right at my natural waist and I finally figured out why. Now I can fix it by taking out the zipper, altering the back bodice as you showed, then putting the zipper in again. Perfect!
Thanks for sharing this tutorial. I have never tried this adjustment and you have given the best explanation for when it is required. I appreciate the information.
Hi Josie that is fantastic so easy to follow. I have a sway back and I had difficulty dealing with it. With your show and tell it really makes sense. Thank you for sharing I will be doing this method from now on. I love your jumpsuit it really suits you bravo to you and have a beautiful day say hello to your children👍👍💗💗
Hi Sarah, I am glad to know there are more of us. It took me a while to know what to do with my clothes. I am glad to know that the tutorial is clear to follow. Thank you so much my dear and I hope you are all doing well. ❤️❤️
Hi, How do you adjust a swayback for a dress on the fold? Will the hem, side seam and backfold line need to be adjusted too? Thank you for showing the bodice, and would I would love to see you do a tutorial for a dress back. Thank you.
I am glad you have loved this. I have done this on one before but I never documented it. I will probably record a tutorial for this too. Thank you for watching.
Hi Josie and thank you for this video! It's been really helpful, I'm going to use your method on a new linen dress I'm working on. I have one small question though: would you need to add to the total length of the back of the skirt the amount of fabric substracted from the swayback, so you don't end up with a dress that's shorter in the back than in the front? Thank you so much!
Thank you Jo and I am glad to hear that you love the tutorial. No, I never transfer it to the skirt because the swayback makes the back short in a sense. So without the adjustment, it would be longer in the back than at the front. I hope that makes sense. 😊
