Panasonic video have always been state of the art for its day. I wanted a DVX100 series camera but was outside my budget then, so I got a used canon GL2. It was ok. Today I love my LUMIX S1 to death. Fantastic all round camera from Panasonic.
Nice setup, im surprised more people are not running setups like this the dvx100 is much more fun then the vx and gl models from sony and canon in my opinion, though i would use the S-video connection due to better video quality and sharpness, S-video carries the picture through two signals, chroma (colour) and luma (luminance). This video signal is of far better quality than what composite video has to offer though it comes with a drawback because it does not have sound so you would need some sort of a audio recorder or if you can use the rca sound from the camera? but to be honest the little quality loss can be also a bit of a vibe if one is going for it!
The only problem is that CLEARCLICK HD ULTIMATE EDITION doesn't have a S-Video option. It only has RCA hookups and a HDMI and by looking at what he displayed he has the HD ULTIMATE EDITION- James D. Watkins, artistic director of PHOENIX PRODUCTIONS.
No Glitches the only thing ive noticed is i think the longer u record a clip the more out of sync the audio gets. its not too bad but it is off by like 2 frames and can notice it during slomo but its super easy to just line up later in editting. besides that its perfect
If ONLY there was a cheap chinese DV-in recorder just like these AV-in and HDMI-in recorders..... This would be an absolute gamechanger because you would get 1:1 the DV signal out of the camera in its pure digital form without it having to go through the analog outputs and into the AV recorder.
On a full charge ill go like 2 or 3 days without charging it and itll still be good the clearclick doesnt seem to use much power at all. A smaller one could work but would just die faster.
I’d say email clearclick. When I got my first Clearclick. I set it up and filmed and the audio was unusable. Was super quiet and Sounded like it was barely plugged in. I emailed them and ended up getting a replacement sent cuz apparently I got a old model.
Yeah. Just gotta click the down arrow a couple times and it’ll turn off the volume on the clear click hence Getting rid of the feedback noise I hate that noise it’s scares me every time lol
@@prosperityokechukwu1503 Incorrect! Composite video (the yellow RCA-type cable) certainly degrades quality vs going DV to Firewire recorder. The native recording capabilities of this camera won't quite be captured as well with composite - although going S-video out of the cam to the S-video input of the capture disk would certainly help clean the footage up with the exact same setup. Composite cables are just a bit easier to find and for the type of look this homie is capturing (emulating 90's skate videos that most ppl have only seen composite-to-digital rips of anyways... it'll work wonders).
@@connoryballantyne lol stop misleading people 🤣 with what u don't know. Canon xlh1 have an SDI output why not say the sdi will degrade the quality also because it is not firewire. All that matters is the output. A composite rca can do 720p which is standard definition. A component rca can do 1080. There is an immersion powerplay capture device video on RU-vid go and watch the side by side comparison with tape. Pause the video stretch it out. If you see any dust differences A mansion for u. Stop misleading people.
@@prosperityokechukwu1503 I understand your point, but this has literally nothing to do with resolution. Please don't be demeaning- I know what I am talking about. Just because they can output 720p doesn't mean there isn't a huge degradation in colour or detail which is primarily what "loss of quality" refers to. Fundamentally and irrefutably, composite video is a worse transfer medium than S-Video- which I mentioned is the best alternative to this setup as the capture card used in the video inputs analog signal. Firewire would also fundamentally achieve a higher picture quality than composite. Composite is a single channel of data, DV/Firewire or even component (which breaks the data into 2 separate channels- luma and chroma) ALL have a higher fidelity than composite. All these will output 720p because the DVX100A only captures footage at that pixel density- but the quality of the details and colours captured by the CCD sensor will objectively be better using S-Video or DV.
