I was thinking of wearing a belt made up of say 40 D cells and multiple capacitors. Then run heavy extension cord from the belt to the gloves. I think you would want to wear rubber gloves underneath for protection. Do you think it would work.
If you really want a bug zapper circuit for this, I would suggest ordering from American Science and Surplus for 5 bucks or to get it at Aldo, where it is on sale. But this is kind of a lame idea. I would suggest buying a $1 boost converter from eBay. Not only is it cheaper, but it can get you around 60 kV. The advertisements say all sorts of crap like “400 kV” but that is a total lie, as they only make 3 cm arcs. Still, it is cheaper and much better than this.
