Wanna build one for yourself? I have a template you can download here: drive.google.com/file/d/1YMKg7F5-qFujXyhF_0V8E8w8XvgUGwrn/ Fair warning, I have not tested this template, but I'm pretty sure it's accurate-ish, as long as you're using foam core board. If you use a different material, you may have to make small adjustments on the dimensions. This is intended to be printed at 100% scale on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.
@@charles77976 yes, i should have mentioned that. It's easiest if you glue them all to a sheet of paper or thin cardboard then cut it into sizes you need.
I'm hooked. It's so good. For similar style/humor check out a channel called 'you suck at cooking', though this channel is more friendly/wholesome overall.
Studson! Your videos are awesome! My family gathers around the living room and watches you every night (that sounds sarcastic, but I’m dead serious). My kids would like to suggest/request that you consider building Hyrule Castle and/or a divine beast. Thank you for entertaining and inspiring us with your skills and humor!
Hi Studson, I agree so much with P.S. Patton, and a divine beast would be so awesome! My family is literally watching your channel as I type! We love love your channel and think it would be great if you did something from Zelda, (possibly a shrine or a sheika tower.) We are huge Zelda fans, and it would be so cool if you built more from it. Your channel is so inspiring and I can not wait to see more videos!
What a great vidjeo! I watched it with Marvin and she demands to see you build: - Gringott's Bank - The Shrieking Shack - Princess Peach's Castle - Professor Oak's Lab It's a lot, I know. But I guess you're bonded by blood to do it.
I started with the bathhouse, got addicted to watch/listen while i work and i was just surprised that when i went to all videos to keep watching i had made it thru all your videos! Keep up the great work! (Video game building i loved: Horizon Zero Dawn, any and everything. You love aging things with plants, i think youll enjoy it)
Okay I’m falling in love with your work. I just discovered your channel from your first video and then you just uploaded a video today isn’t it a sign ?? Whatever, I saw in the comment that someone recommends you BOTW and I would LOVE it. Zelda and Animal crossing are just my favorite games. Thank you again !!
The little houses in Zelda: Minish Cap! Specifically in the minish village there's a jar that is kind of submerged in water and there's water inside the house with little wooden platforms that the minish lives on! And there's another house there that is a boot surrounded by bioluminescent mushrooms and there's also mushrooms on the inside. Also the sky tower at the end of the game is really pretty! It's a very pretty game. And it's really cool to see how differently the minish live. Like the town minish use stamps and chess pieces as decoration. It's very cute.
I LOVE this! Im crafting some villagers with polymer clay and will be using them for a Halloween/Christmas village when I can get the space for it. But as far as video game buildings go im thinking most memorable for me would be Donkey Kong's tree house in Donkey Kong 64
A Christmas village sounds real cute, I'd love to see it! Also, I literally whooped and howled reading the tree house from DK 64. No promises, but I'm very intrigued by that idea. It's at least getting written down on my list.
I 100% understand that would be a pretty ambitious project. Lol also glad I could lighten up your day with the idea I grew up on the game and me and the fiancé just played through it for nostalgia reasons.
I used to play Zelda twilight princess a lot as a kid. My favorite dungeon was Snowpak ruins. I just love the design and the story. I would love to see a miniature version of it!
HEY STUDSON! I'm a fellow crafter, I usually stick to D&D/wargaming but I loved seeing the techniques in this video... I never actually considered using balsa wood for floor boards, usually foam carved and popsicle sticks, cheers for the inspiration
I love Inkopolis plaza from Splatoon (or alternatively, the square from Splatoon 2. Those are both pretty big projects, though. A smaller but equally interesting one would be the little headquarters Callie and Marie hang out at in the story mode hub world for Splatoon 2. Splatoon’s got some unique funk to it that’s really charming!
I don’t even play Animal Crossing, but this showed up in my feed and I watched it because I loved the thumbnail. Thank you for breaking this down so we can see the extra steps that can make something go from looking it was made by a second grader to looking like it could have been purchased at a store!
My mother made gingerbread houses throughout my childhood. As I grew up and started to help (rather than 'help') it evolved into a full on village. It had you classic house, an A shaped grocery store, a manger for our nativity scene, and a church complet with stain glass windows made from melted hard candy. I have many fond memories of turning candy into a variety of scenery. By far my favorite the year she had the idea to shingle the church roof with sliced almonds, but they kept breaking so my mother left 3/4 to me. I can personally attest that he's right ( 4:25 ) it's super soothing.
Mumbo jumbo's skull house, any of the buildings from Earthbound, any of the player homes from the elder scrolls games. Love the video btw keep it up! I'd like to see you tackle some space ships too.
Another incredible build! Great work!! Something I think would be amazing, albeit probably ambitious: Pee-Wee's Playhouse (from the TV show intro sequence).
My favorite building from a movie/video game has to be any building from Harry Potter, specifically Gringotts Bank which I'm making a model of right now. I also love Jack Skellingtons house from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I love this, I'm so trying this - subbed too! For buildings I love the Harry Potter suggestions but I'd personally love a fallout inspired build, the red rocket diners or something like that maybe? Feel post apocalyptic in general has a lot of applications for table top games too
Goodness, I finally found someone else that sings The Able Sisters to te tune of that Hamilton song XD I'm sure it's not uncommon, come to think of it. It's just wierd I've never come across it aside from my own head
i always thought it would be an interesting challenge to see the temple of time ( or just castle town in general ) from ocarina of time put into a miniature build! Also can i just say im very happy i found your channel, watching you build things gives me so much happiness
Very cool! It would be great to watch you make Mr. Tendo's house from the anime Ranma 1/2. If you make it, don't forget the small pond outside of the dining room where Ranma has been thrown into numerous times. LOL!
Honestly thought your first spelling of legang was intentional and I was into it. I wanna be part of le gang of Zelda. Have you seen the botw horse stable I made?
Intrusive thoughts of an idle mind have been getting at me really bad lately. But old studson videos I've already watched. Tend to temper the hot steel in my mind atm
I would say my most memorable video game building would be my Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (blue rescue team) Greeko base! But all the bases are pretty cool. First game I ever played and still love it
Thanks for the ideas! I never got around to Mystery Dungeon, but I'm digging the aesthetic of the team bases. Something from Zelda and Pokémon are definitely on my list, though I haven't decided exactly what yet...
For the issue with super glue fogging, I've heard too that if you let it dry with a fan on it that helps as well since it's the fumes that cause the fog.
favorite buildings from games, The castle and happy mask shop from zelda ocarina of time are some of my favourites! Also seeing the airwing ship from starfox would be cool too! Not a building but it could make for another fun craft project!
the bendy straw was so perfect!!! 😭♥️ My most memorable building from a game growing up was the Toon HQ from toontown online... shaped like a square firehouse and a massive telescope, lol!!! Any of the buildings from that game would be amazing to see, but I know the game is niche and a unique style, so I’m not sure how likely it is though. Toontowns buildings are awesome though, so def check them out!!
oof paper backing peelable foamcore sounds like a dream hahahah imagining taking an a1 sheet home from the shop with paper to protect the surface and overall integrity, and then it being far easier to cut in 1 or 2 passes 🤤
About 3:04 It’s not a video games nor a movie but the school in Re:member. In the book, the plans are shown and it’s a really important character actually so
I just discovered this channel yesterday and have been watching the videos over and over again. I've got a very stressful job at the moment just having these videos on next to me make such a difference in calming myself down. Not that the content wouldn't be amazing in itself, but your voice and sense of humour are just the most calming thing ever!
I've been obessed with Tomb Raider since I was a kid, her estate in the very 1st few games was absolutely my favorite place to escape reality. I would play pretend in her home I guess the same way girls played with dolls. It's been a tiny side dream for me to create/live in some place similar. Lara Croft is genuinely one of my role models and I don't care how crazy it is!! She had it all, maze gardens, lavish pools, home gyms, music rooms, libraries, secret passages, armories, and they tide it all together under the aesthetics of rich old english country side. A dream ✨🌸
I just discovered your channel and omg your humour blows me away. If possible - could you do other buildings from the game? The upgraded Nook's Cranny, the two different museums, resident services building, different sized player houses, or even villager houses?
I was not disappointed in clicking that link from your fb post in an animal crossing group! Great work and the jokes are++ also, i like the stardew valley wizard's tower.
Thanks for the compliments! And the Wizard's tower has been selected. Hope you dig it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o4J9ItmULno.html
My Favorite House in a Movie was Chain Saw Massacre The 1st one! That porch and the way they aged it and made the whole house creepy! Oh and The 1st Exercise the view from the stairs! Yeah I'm convinced you could do them! It would be fabulous and nobody else can do it better then you! Love your channel!
Most memorable buildings from video games... 🤔 Animal Crossing New Leaf's Museum or the Town Hall. The Pokemon center and pokemart from Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
I love the tree house from the original Dark Cloud for PS2 really there were so many memorable moments from that game. Personally, I have never played animal crossing sadly, great build though! I always enjoy watching you craft things. Thank you for sharing!
