I learn new things from each project and the lessons learnt while making this project: * Wipe down the surface after using staining gels to avoid uneven areas * Mod Podge is the best! I prefer matte Mod Podge to glossy in most cases. What are your preferences? * Use Mod Podge before adding glue to avoid ‘glue stains’ (from when the glue dries) * The gold on the gold-gilded washi tapes comes off easily, use Mod Podge to add a protective layer XD
remember me as your very early subscriber when you get famous, your videos are so calming to me and the things you make are so creative and cute. i will always be a big fan of your channel! keep going! 🥰🥰
That is so true!! I don’t have much time for any game these days… the last one I almost finished was the FF12 remastered 4-5 years ago … do you recommend the FF7 remake? I only have a switch nowadays so don’t think it’s available there :( … but I ended up buying all the original FF games 😆
I’m a painter who works on mini canvases, and your videos always put me in such a creative mood! This one in particular made me want to do a little painting of a fairy mushroom scene… Maybe it was the hedgehog at the beginning ww. I didn’t comment at the time, but the Totoro video got me to complete a rose garden painting I’d been working on that I think is my best piece yet :D Thank you! Whenever I’m stuck, I think I’ll come back to your channel
oh my!!! 🥰 I’m actually struggling to find the right words to be able to express what I feel upon hearing this … but I totally understand what you are saying because I have often been in your position 😆 I just never really expected to be on the other end if you know what I mean ahaha. That little burst of inspiration you get … I still can’t really describe it. So it makes me feel so happy to hear that I was able to provide that little bit of creative mood for you to go on to finish your best piece with the rose garden! I can’t wait to hear about your next fairy mushroom painting :) it will be even better!
So lovely! Since the box legs are only in the middle, did you have a problem keeping it from falling over, especially when the doors are open? I've watched a few of your videos tonight and really enjoy your work. New sub.
Ah thank you! The bottom of the ‘covers’ on the front and back are the same height as the box legs in the middle. Together they keep the box standing upright when the box is open so no problems at all from falling over :)
@@azukibeanhobbies I really like my neighbor totoro but ponyo, kikis delivery service and whisper of the heart are a close second. Studio ghibli movies are too good I can't decide (>×
@@msbeanification Hahaha I totally understand the dilemma! My personal favourite is Howl’s Moving Castle due to the big connection I had with the original book (which I read as a kid), but it is followed so closely by so many others, including Totoro hehe I just love Totoro’s big belly, soooo cute when Mei falls asleep on it. It looks so soft and comfy to sleep on 😆
@@msbeanification Exactly! And its so good for adults as well, we understand more complicated stuff but the movies capture that childhood experience so well that it keeps that light hearted childhood experience alive inside us! Honestly at times i feel like a ‘kidult’ if you know what i mean😆
Thank you for watching so many of my videos! Sure thing, the protective clear glaze medium layer acts as a very light protective layer or barrier coat between layers of paint or stain. It also gives the wood a smoother finish compared to if no layer was added. Note however, it doesn’t completely protect the wood - ideally, the final step would be adding varnish or sealer on top of this to completely protect the box from water damage. But at the time of the video, I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to add more stain later on for a deeper colour so I stopped at this step. I can still add more stain or make changes to the painting later with the clear glaze medium layer, but I can’t do this once the varnish/sealer has been applied. If the box were to be used for storing things, it’s best to add the varnish/sealer. But since this particular one is for decorative purposes, I still haven’t added this yet. I do have a few videos where I paint boxes that are used for storing things, and you can see in them that I add many layers of glossy varnish after the clear glaze medium to completely seal the box. Hope this helps explain it!
Sure! There’s 5 pieces in total: *My Star’s First Guest (piano version) *The Melody of Night *My World *Rainy Day Small Whim *A Dream I Miss (Piano version) The background music is nice isn’t it? 😊
