I thought that was weird too, but the way the chains are spinning and where there is slack vs tension in them, the power flow has to be coming from the screw. I think there might be something in the outlet box to help store and even out the flow of electricity. LED bulbs are extremely power efficient and that fan didn't look like it was going full speed, so you could easily power them with minimal electricity.

This is prob one of the more legit looking experiments. As long as there's enough torque from the turbine to over power the magnet which there's no reason to think there isn't. It will generate electricity. It's only making a half an amp. The speed change when a load is applied is one of the tell tale signs whether is complete bullshit. This isn't a perpetual motion machine. Those are all bogus. But this is a proven way produce electricity. Since we use hydrodams almost universally

Very creative demonstration that shows clearly how to increase RPM at the generator, which is the major problem that needs to be overcome. Love the melting of plastic pipe to make the plastic sheets for impeller fabrication. Notice how the RPM drops noticeably when a resistive load is placed on the generator's output. Converting screw mechanical energy into generator's electrical energy is coupled to whatever amount of resistance is applied as an electrical load. Electrical resistance acts just like mechanical resistance as far as screw RPM is concerned. (Think of riding your bicycle and then letting a friend sit on it with you. Much harder to peddle!)

@GoldenGearGrinder
@GoldenGearGrinder 2 года назад
Yeah, no. To sombody who majored in electrical, this is fake. First, the most obvious part. The lights and fans are consistently stable. That shouldn't happen when the turbine clearly stops momentarily at times. Second, you need 120 or 240v to run that fan, there is no way a small turbine is spitting out 50 to 100 watts, (based on the .45 Amps rating). Third, all retail fans are AC only. They take that power then convert it to DC. That motor is certainly not a three phase one, and I dont see a DC to AC converter attached to the system to make power useable by the fan. The lightbulb is possible, but not the fan.
@mr.construction9846

The over all work is sloppie. Chains need to be just a little tighter. After weeks of flipping up and down they will fail. Also the WEAR on the gears will be like a grinder. A food grade polymer chain has alot less residence loss that friction. Add a fat tapered gear. Again made out of the same plastic. Plastic wouldn't rust, there no tork, but on the cord in the water. I would find a thin, 12" plastic piping. Cut 1/3 of tube out. And make a water guard, safety guard over the whole set of chains and gears. Also I would place a small wood, shed wood floor. Use it for a battery house. Then charge up, large battery.

That is not the principle behind Archamedies water lifting screw. Water should be encapsulated within a volume within a tilted auger, such that when rotated, the segments progress upward , continuously, spilling the contents at a higher level. A propeller being shown here is called an impeller. One early impeller driven steam yacht, broke several portions off, thus reducing it to a propeller. The yacht immediately went faster.

If you watch the long screew holding the wire to the primary shaft it disapears when the load is connected. The primary shaft is no longer rotating. But the turbine is. When load is connected you expect the screew to dig deep into the water and move to the right. The alternator moves so slow under load it can not possibly power any lamps or any fan. This demonstration has required a lot of editing to remove reality. A propellor would do a better job with less wet surface and higher RPM. But still run of the river turbines with slow water speeds has little power and same problem as wind turbines. Water slows down and avoids the obstacle. With no avoidance no pressure on the turbine blades. The energy conversion takes place in a large volume before and after the turbine as each molecule mass curves of and causes acceleration forces at the same time the turbine blade moves and is able to extract some work. But only some.

I live on the confluence of two tidal rivers, the Trent and the Ouse. Why their energy isn't captured to generate power I'll never know. The tides are predictable and not reliant on wind or sun.

@suburbangardenpermaculture3117
At 7:40 in the video, you can see the screw STOP spinning, but the device and chains are STILL spinning. It's a hoax and a fraud. If the screw stops, the chains should stop but they did not.
@suburbangardenpermaculture3117
You can even see the fitting between the bering and screw isn't moving but the shaft its supposedly attached to, is spinning... this is a COMPLETE fraud video.

Hi, thank you for this wonderful demonstration. I'm not into physics, but I would love to understand why the motor changes the sound once you connect the bulbs or the fan and slows down a bit. And when you disconnect the sounds comes again and it increases the speed also. Thank you so much. Your skills in bending PVC is on another level.

That’s nice! But why all the extra gears? The floating turbine has a shaft which can go directly to a little floating pontoon boat, which holds the generator.
@alanmcrae8594
@alanmcrae8594 2 года назад
Need to increase the RPM of the generator in order to generate a decent amount of electricity. Has to spin much faster than the Archimedes Screw is turning, so a series of gears is needed to increase final RPM speed.
