The water that you see falling from the rocks is not just a water, but it comes with a sand that makes you visualise a waterfalls. The sand is flowing with the water through the pipe then continuously fall down to the rocks as it is heavier. The sand falling from the top of the rocks looks like a water continously flowing down. Excellent idea!
Wow, this looks awesome. His idea is basically blow up white sand in water stream (top hole), then the bottom hole will suck the piled white sand using low pressure around the bottom hole. I really want to try this when I buy an aquarium tank next time. Thanks for posting!
Construction of the pipe was easy. Just leave the top elbow loose so you can adjust later on if you have too. I literally have everything together, created the mountain with lava rock and now I’m at the point of how to hook up the pump
@@TTrident660 The pump is hooked up at the other end of the pipe. While it pushes the water through the pipe, white sand is fed mid way into the pipe where he made an angled cut and inserted a sheet metal piece. The sand travels along the flow of the water and is ejected out giving you a waterfall impression. The sand is again sucked in at the collection point at the bottom, to have a continuous flow.
Great video, but I was wondering if you could give us some specifics, such as the size of the plastic tubing you used, what size pump you'd recommend, that kind of stuff. I plan to make one of these for my own tank soon and was trying to price out what all I'd need to buy to start working on it.
I'm guessing they build those for their customers and they won't reveal their secret. This is however serve as a demo or a preview of the final product.
WOW! OH WOW! What a vision of beauty! i sincerely wished i could own an aquarium like that. i love fishes and has an aquarium but nothing to match this breath taking beauty. That waterfall crowns the beauty of the aquarium.
is a aquarium like this simple enough to take care of for a beginner, what would you call this type of set up with all that grass and plants?? looks awesome
Complimenti vivissimi, ottima manualità e risultato impeccabile alla vista, l unica pecca è che magari a lungo andare i materiali usati possono risultare nocivi per le forme di vita dal interno dell acquario
hello, great waterfall....i made like your instruction, but the sand not so much flow, i use 26 w pump, maybe too strong, when i use 13 Watt pump, the sand cant flow...do you have solution for my case ? Maybe the spesification of your pump, or the series of your pump so i can google it, thanks so much
Hello mate. I have about 450 litre tank and it’s quite huge. I did try this method and everything was connected properly but the flow through them pipes from the powerhead wasn’t that strong enough to push the sand do u think I need a powerful power head something like ehiem compact 3000. Please let me know
beautiful work but i have questions!!! lol What did you use to circulate the sand? what kind of sand did you use? Did you use any kind of air pump or water pump? where did you put those?
Guys.. whoever watch this amazing video, just keep in mind that the clear instruction has been posted in the beginning of this video (see diagram), it was not waterfall but white sand fall. Amazing idea to simply circulating white sand in the pipe installation to make waterfall effect.. two thumbs up for you
Hi can you tell me the size pip you used and the angles and if possible the length of pipe just to have an idea of price to buy and what I would be looking for cheers and great work
@@far8 nah he just wanted to understand the mechanics behind it. The video maker does a poor job on explaining the sand reservoir, the downward thrust of the water coming out of the top, and making the flow of the tank so that it does not disturb the rest of the tank and fish.
The white sand gets drawn from the bottom, through the specialty cut pipe fitting, to the top discharge with tank water. Both tank water and white sand are being discharged at the top but only the white sand is falling. Making the magical appearance of a waterfall. Pretty cool I think.
Really pretty set up you have! I was really wanting to learn more though! I have made somthing like this before, I was just interested in that set up with your plumbing and if your way was more efficent and if you used an air stone or another method?
May be a stupid problem but could a fish wander into the suction of the waterfall? Then get turned into an everflowing cascade of fishscales and fishbones ?
It's not pumping the sand the T section of pipe that was modified made a venturi so when water is pumped through the pipe it creates suction at that T picking up the sand once it reaches the top outlet the water is dispersed back into the tank and the sand falls
This is great i did it at home with a strong water pump and with 8.5 w pump but the water get out from the sand collector and not from the top, what can i do form that and what is the diametre of the pipe you use thanks so much
it would have been a better video if it showed the materials used such as glue and that power which could be what exactly? please provide us with the details, i am keen to know what glue and power you used to glue the rocks together
I think some of the less experienced people here don’t quite get how it works which I understand. I would like to know if you occasionally have to go back and add more white sand in that area to keep the illusion going. My thought is that over time the sand would spread out in the aquarium and your waterfall would disappear.
He literally gave you everything you need to know. Pay attention and the mechanics on how it works is also there and if you don't understand it build it and problem shoot as you go.
@@BestAqua no problem...I'd love to have a waterfall in my 55g but my comets are maniacs!! They would find a way to destroy it lol no joke! They are true maniacs!! Lol wouldn't work in my 38g either..my black moors and calicos could move a couch! You have beautiful hands btw
I already did everything step by step and the sand does not rise the pressure of the water comes out of the hole it has for the sand. how can I solve that
