watch my timelapse of me creating my own model from scratch! YoshinoArt's Playlist: • HOW TO: Live2 By Yoshi... Music: Harris Heller - Aurora Sonata Twitch: / serenvt Twitter: / serenvtuber
I love your design but I think your neck is a bit long especially when look to the side and look up it looks like your head is sliding off your neck I really do love it tho
Thank you for this, I've watched a few other videos of people making vtubers, but never physically starting from scratch on making the model, most of them would already have the model ready when start of the video, so thank you for this 😭
this is actually the best tutorial i've found so far you actually say what needs to be seperated and don't just assume people know and it's actually about how to make your vtuber model not a drawing tutorial like so many "vtuber model tutorial" i've come across great job and as far as your artwork goes just keep practicing that's how we all level up but you are well on your way with your vtuber career great job!
I never found interest in vtubers but, I decided to click on this vid since i feel expanding my knowledge as an artist is always helpful to progress my learning. With that being said, really enjoyed the video. Clear & concise. Will keep a look out for what you have going on. You seem sweet and cool. GL on your future endeavors.
Ah you’re so sweet! Thank you so much!! I may sound like a hypocrite here, but I totally understand your disinterest in VTubers, because I was there myself 😭 Many people have different reasons for becoming one, but as for me, I just care about my privacy (for the time being, as I still live with my family). I still wanna be as authentic as I can be, so I really appreciate your support 💙✨
@@serenvtuber I understand what you mean. But in the end I've learned that if the vtubers are entertaining then it shouldn't matter to me. And you're right! Privacy is a big reason for many people. It's pretty cool that one can make a fully functional character that means a lot to them. It really helps for creators that prefer to not show their face. Come to think of it 🤔 Now I might make one lol
@@serenvtuber Thank u. Is it cool if I make fanart for your VT? I've been taking a painting course for a while and I'd like a little project to do. I'll tag u.
I feel like i can do this... but like at the same time I'm doubting myself lmao ty for tips im pretty sure they will help me once i decide to finally create a model of my own :)
I recommend to use the tutorials of YoshinoArt and Chupuko 🫶. They helped me to finish my first 2D model. A little tip for later. If you want a sparking expressions where the stars move, use the breath parameter to make shrink them and let them become smaller (expressions are the last step),
A lot of vtuber riggers prefer separating colour from lineart because it makes the line art easier to control, and it won't warp as much. Yeah, it's not necessary, though. Your model is really good, It's hard to believe you're a beginner artist.
Good tutorial! One thing that threw me off was the vtuber model's irises jiggling and moving a lot, it distracted me from your words often, unfortunately. But I appreciate the video a lot, it helped me and answered my questions
Thank you so much! Yeah, I apologize for the flaws in physics LOL. Since it's been a couple months, I tweaked some settings so they jiggle around a lot less. I didn't realize how intense they were in the moment. But thank you! If you still have any questions, let me know!
@@tibo6749 I won't lie to you, I accidentally made the canvas size wayyy too large LOL. The size was 8533 x 9033 pixels, I think I toned it down to 4000 pixels in Live2D. Also 300 dpi
@@serenvtuber OH GODD LOL I think i just went with 4000 px and 300 dpi as well, started working on my (hopefully final version) model today. Took me so long cuz i never liked the previous versions much and kept changing them around
now you have 150 subs =P Some feedback: Every time something detailed comes up you redirect viewers away from your content by telling them to look it up themselves Instead of saying "I'm not going to show you X, there are plenty of tutorials online" try saying something like "Let me know down below if you would like to know more about how I do X" That being said It's also really nice that you cite your resources, most people won't do that and that's not fair to other artists.
Ah thank you for the feedback! I mostly redirect since I felt I'm not educated enough on certain topics to talk about it myself but I'll definitely keep it in mind for future videos and tutorials. I appreciate it a lot :) Thank you!
You're amazing! I'm a total beginner but I'll try my best to learn how to make my own models. Is there anything you would recommend I would need to start drawing digital art as a total beginner?
so ive been looking at some free 3d model rigging apps, and ive found some that work pretty good, but im having trouble finding something to actually- uh- yknow, the webcam and making it move???? do you have any tips for that?? like apps or anything to help rig the movements and stuff?
I'd be more than glad to help out! Sorry though, I need a little more clarification. So, are you making a 2D or a 3D model? Because depending on your answer, each type uses a different set of apps. When it comes to 2D models, the process is something like this: 1. Draw your model in an art program 2. Rig it in LIVE2D 3. Set it up in VTube Studio, this is the program that will use your webcam to move your model around. When it comes to 3D models, I'm not too knowledgable, so you'd probably be better off finding other tutorials on RU-vid. However, from my knowledge: 1. Create a free 3D model through free programs such as VRoid 2. Test out the model through a tracking software like VSeeFAce if you have any more questions, let me know
@@serenvtuber ok thanks! ive been trying out a bunch of free apps around the modeling bit, because im just getting into this and know basically nothing. i think ill stick with a 2d model. do you have any recommendations about art programs?
heres a question, when actively drawing your character what dpi is best to use? is there a difference in the result in regards to dpi for drawing vs saving/exporting the final product?
DPI is only important if you want to print the image. I had mine at 300 (average for printing) just in CASE I ever wanted to print my model out for something, but 72 (average for general art) is just fine! I usually have the same DPI for drawing and exporting, not sure what the difference is D:
@@serenvtuber ty for letting me know, I'm working hard on my own but am not fully happy with it- would have sucked if I had to redo it just cuz I didn't have the right dpi set.🙏 ps- ur vid was amazingly helpful
I use it on my PC! I'm unfortunately not too informed about the iPad version. There should be an "export" or "save as" button somewhere, where you can choose .PSD and then email it to yourself to download on a computer. Let me know if this link helps ask.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=70992
I don't know about Krita (I heard it has limited features) but I am using Clip Studio Paint! Try Googling "Krita clip layer" to see if it has the ability.
Yes! You can't rig on an iPad, as Live2D is unfortunately not on IOS, but you could draw up your model on any device as long as you can export the file as a .PSD file and send it to your rigger.
Its really nice model. However your rigging is just ok, but I know how hard rigging is. And said it is your first attempt. No I am not rigger or artist is why I am hiring people for it. Of course I am not trying to be mean or anything just wanted to be honest. Its is fine of course it does look good.
@SerenVT sorry I didn't mean to upset you. I seen much worst stuff trying to be sold. Also I be amiss to mention that vtubestudio setting can affect how the rig moves I am trying to figure out too. It is really great work for real. But I just don't think being a yesman helps anyone.
Twitter is very saturated with Vtubers so it is hard to get a name for yourself out there. So far, RU-vid shorts and TikTok has done all the work for me 🥲
