Why are we making another Wallclock? Find out here: woodworkingmas...
The basis for everything Paul has taught in woodworking to woodworkers around the world has been that with three joints and ten hand tools, you can make just about anything from wood. Each of these joints is irreplaceable and so each one stands alone in its importance of use.
The variations on the joints can triple, and in the case of the housing dado, there are but two additional versions. In this project, we take the most complex of the three versions to make our clock.
By the time you have made this joint and the clock, you will be fully equipped to make the other two versions. The tools you will use for all three variations are the same. We walk you through each step to bring total clarity to the tools, the joinery, and the methods and techniques. You will love making this oak wallclock project as much as Paul has in the dozens he has made since he designed it.
Remember, all the methods used will be adopted for dozens upon dozens of other projects throughout your life.

It’s so wonderful to see multi-episode project videos that teach a process rather than the constant shorts that populate RU-vid these days(There’s only so many ways to sharpen a plane blade). These are the types of videos that brought me to RU-vid as a beginner woodworker. Thank you Paul for years of valuable content.

Excuse me, it's called a plane _iron,_ because you can never have too many shorts repeatedly telling you what parts of tools are called, right?

Love this video! This is probably my favorite of all of Me. Sellers’ videos that I’ve watched. Excellent instruction, excellent demonstration. Me. Sellers, it is great to see how well you’ve recovered so far from that incident. May your health continue to improve!

I don’t even want a wall clock, but I kind of want to make one now. I love the traditional joinery. I still have a couple of plane totes to make first however.

Great! I can't wait for the next part of this video series, this might be the boost for confidence I need to make a liquor cabinet. I really like how the upper and bottom pieces can break the typical box shape but keeping it simple. I would like to try this with sliding dovetail but I have to remind myself to go one step at the time.

I was pretty sure there was wallclock episodes before. Apparently there was (8 of 'em), I've watched them ofc but now they're for paid viewers. No, not complaining. Just noticing things. Is this reboot to that 'series'?

Hi Paul, would it be considered biased if I say I hit the like button even before watching your video?! I so eagerly wait for each of your masterclass lessons. I learned and enjoyed ao much from your teachings ...build so many projects I could never have dreamt of...I just wish I could switch from a occasional hobbyist/enthusiast to someone who can do this for a living... But my day job hardly allows me any spare time ..but I still try to manage late at night even an hour after 12 am... Anyways...so glad to see you impart these lessons in the true spirit without making it look like a speciality profession or a rich man/woman's job... Please please keep going❤

The only criticism one can level at Paul is that he's simply too good. I would love to see an episode or series of episodes on all the major joints, and the kind of mistakes he's seen inexperienced folks make while trying to cut them, and what he'd do to fix it. Seeing Paul put a joint together is great, but if for once he made it a hair too small or crooked (I know it would have to be a deliberate contrived example) and how to take a thousandth off the width of a housing dado because it was too tight would be most useful. :)

Another wonderful show of a master at work. Oh! That I could make it look so easy. If I had one criticism of the vid', it would have been nice if you'd shown a finished clock at the start, so we could see the work in context. Nevertheless, once again you have taught me some new techniques, so don't take my crit' too seriously. I look forward to the next instalment.👍

I'm confused. A couple months ago, all of the good WWMC project videos on the channel got locked behind the RU-vid members paywall. I was pretty bummed, because those videos often help me when I'm feeling depressed. But now it seems you're remaking at least the wall clock series. Are you going to remake more of the WWMC videos? Is this just part of a channel face-lift or something?

Pięknie ale dlaczego zawsze jest wyselekcjonowane drewno a nie tak jak leci z kłody. Wtedy dopiero widać jak się robi mebelki i dlaczego są drogie🙃😉🙃👍🙋‍♂️
