Very nice videos! I have to say that when using any kind of drill your hair needs to be tied back. this is a must! I was working in a shop and my friends hair got caught in the spinning chuck! he held on so tight the he could not let go of the trigger! needless to say we called him patch for the couple months... the shorter the bit the more control... body shop supplies have short double end drill bits for drilling into car panels. looking forward to your next video!!!

i did the same thing but when it rained the weight of the water gathered on the vinyl and I had ponding and it stretched the vinyl. the solution was to use 4 pieces of electrical conduit that was hammered flat at the ends where it rested on the truck and it lay across the truck and helped shed the ponding water. Also the snaps were hard to put on in the winter as the vinyl got cold and shrank.

FYI. if your needles tend to drag ,use a piece of chalk to run down the seam or dust with talcum powder or baby powder.keeps needles moving smooth my.

i watched some videos which were featuring ply wood and such ..oh man i m a woman and i felt the pain of lifting and carrying and painting and uuuff got tired lol...but what you have done is more simple, practical and doable without exhausting myself. i need to save my energy to pick up my kayak and taking it in and out not lifting up wood... thank you!

I have to say that your cover looks absolutely fantastic! when you drilled those holes though I cringed. I would have used some flashing or something similar and used the post mount holes in the bed to mount by. you wouldn't have to damage anything that way. I have a classic...no way I'm drilling. Those sewing skills are serious though.

use a center punch to dimple the spot you're planning to drill. it'll prevent the bit from wandering.

I was wondering about rain getting in. maybe some wya to attach foam strip to the cover? or take the cover over the edges. Just now figured it out! Add an extra stip of canvas attached to cover, that hangs down over the side and sticks with magnets? that might work! nice video. I hate leaving groceries in the bed while I go do something else.

Great Job.paint the holes with some rust paint or even fingernail polish before you put the screws in ( while it's still wet) so the truck won't rust out. also put some hoops from side to side so the water will run off and not puddle.

Use masking tape next before drilling on paint work after the holes are drilled remove masking tape.

Like that clean look. Have you seen any stretching or tension issues over time, now? Any issues from say, a big snow dump or pooled rain on top of the canvas, or snaps that no longer stay tight?

how far apart did you put the snaps to make it tight also can I use bonded nylon thread 69 on brothers 6000i sewing machine? and do you have a link to the thread and snaps?

My truck Chevy Silverado bed is 64” Wide Plus I want to fold it a bit so I would need something over 64” wide pls let me know if u have anything available for that size pls thanks

hello, I have been looking for a decent, affordable tonneau cover for my Ram when i stumbled onto your video. i went to the site you posted and see the vinyl material is listed with dimensions of 61" x 36". Being that a truck's bed is wider than 36", did you have to sew 2 pieces of the material together? Thanks

Am confused it says 18 OZ/61" on the website, it says the width is 61 inches but how long is it? is it 61 inches long as well? my truck bed is over 70 inches long and the truck in the video seems the same.

Drilling holes into my truck isn't sown thing I want to do. And I want it to be compatible with my back rack. I could buy a regular cover but I'd have to get new hardware for the backrack which is like $100. Guess I'll have to keep looking for solutions
