i'm doing my own flowers for my wedding this year and this is _exactly_ what i've been looking for! loose, natural, asymmetrical - rather than the perfect spheres of identical flowers you often see for bridal bouquets. thanks for sharing this tutorial!!
Other than you saying your bouquets have a “definite back” you explain a bouquet structure exactly how I would! From the prepping and stripping to making sure the flowers are on different planes. It was reassuring to hear. I’d love to know more about how you transport your bouquets. Regular vases are always too narrow!
This video was exactly what I was looking for. I've always enjoyed arranging flowers with a nod to natural display & asymmetry- but so far, only in vases. Now I'm ready to make my own wedding bouquet. Thank you!
This was amazing!! I now, officially, have the confidence to make a bridal bouquet for a friend!! You are a great teacher and make this task attainable!
Thanks, Caroline! Excellent tutorial on a garden style "Bo-K" as we say here in Western N.C... I grew up in the "family flower business " but have been out of the industry about 30 yrs now! Old School for sure. My girlfriend recently asked me to do her niece's wedding arrangements (garden style of course) and I was perplexed about it until finding your video here, what a life-saver for sure!
I am a florist, but haven't learned a non-structured technique for bridal bouquets. My own wedding is coming up soon and I'll be doing my own florals for it. Your video is perfect for explaining exactly how I'd like my own bouquet, so thank you!!
I loved this video! Thank you so much. My brother in law's fiancé asked me to make her bridal bouquet but I am new to this and really needed this video! I love the mirror idea. Love all the details in your video. Thank you so much!
Hi.. would you like to see my real Brahma Kamal🌷 flower from my garden ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5KHPPIb2oe4.html🌷🌸 queen of the night, lady of the night as its beautiful lotus like flower blooms late night. In India it is called as brahma Kamal and is treated as a sacred plant.🌷🌻🏵 hope you like it 🌼🌸
Great video! Also side note -his is a great example of how certain colors look great on certain people. I don't know about the whole winter/spring/cool/warm classification stuff, but this is certainly your color!
This was a lovely video. Very informative and enjoyable to watch. I am making a bridal for my daughter tomorrow morning and this video has given me the confidence to go for it. Thank you.
Gorgeous bouquet! Do you use any of the flower life extender sprays (Crowning Glory) to help keep your flowers fresh for events on hot days? Just curious if they are worth using. Thank you!
Love this! Would you recommend making the bouquet a day before the wedding, or would the flowers last a few days after being cut short (assuming you put them in water and do the ribbon later)? This video is juat what I was looking for!
Hi! I always make the bouquet the day before as to keep it as fresh as possible. The best case scenario would be to make it the day before, keep the stems a little longer, and give a fresh, final cut the morning of, and then apply the ribbon. Best of luck! xx
I’ve watched this 3x…. Love it! I can’t seem to get the name of the terra-cotta roses you are using? If anyone knows I would appreciate your feedback. Great video! I love your artistry.
This is a lovely tutorial and you are a great teacher. I want to make my own wedding bouquet. If I make it the night before, will it still stay fresh? Can you give me tips on preserving/storing the bouquet the night before so that it still looks fresh when I use it the next day?
Thank you so much! I always make my bouquets the day before. After made just place in fresh water in a cool, dark (out of direct sunlight) space and it will be perfectly fresh for wedding day! A little spritz of water on the blooms doesn't hurt either. Best wishes!
Hi there. Do you think if I bought flowers on a Thursday, they would still be fresh by Saturday? Should I keep them in water after assembly? Thanks! I'm a newb to flowers. Thanks!
Hi Candice! As long as you keep the florals in a cool, dark spot you should be fine to receive them on Thursday. Yes, always keep them in water after assembling. Good luck flowering!
