Why is my Elementor the exact opposite of yours? I purchased Elementor Pro just a few days ago and editing the HERO background does not give me an option to change the image when I am in "edit" there's only an option to change text. Also, when I click on the container I want to edit I don't get a border around the spot I'm trying to edit. I get nothing. What's happening?!

Well, when I would open up the website in the morning to do some work there would be something new wrong that I would need to troubleshoot in order to be able to even access my site on a few instances, but in every instance, I would spend hours of my day dealing with fixing the problem either alone or with the "assistance" of a CSA. The CSA's would then require that I download something else that always seemed to require more and more invasive access into my computer's workings. It will come as no surprise then that I found my bank accounts, et al breached, purchases made from Chinese companies all over the internet and other identity theft issues. My brother is an IT guru who, hindsight being 20/20, I should have checked with before downloading EP because WP is all you need and I've all been had. I have subsequentially purged my laptop of every download involved and to say that I am F**king P*ssed! is the understatement of the century.

@@MiksaMeeks My dad got into the same problem but with different case. He installed some plugins alike elementor pro around 2 years ago, and it turned out that all this time there was like a little virus that was checking all the files my dad had on his computer, checking each one. And the leads that were being made, were being sent to another part. We are still figuring out where. It is a complete headache.
Great tutorial and overview, however, any suggestions for why, although I have elementor installed, and I am able to download the theme, I am only able to customize the home page. IOW, the elementor edit option does not show up in the top edit nav bar, although I see it on the side bar under pages,,, when I click on it, it brings me back to the originally designed version of the site. WP and Elementor seem impossible to get any customer service from. I have used WP many times and I disabled all the plugins and also updated, gave it a week, and same problem. Any advice? Not sure how to get things to work here.

On the desktop view, the Hero image goes to the top of the screen and I don't see the header. However, on the Tablet & Smartphone views, I see the header on both with a white background at the top. Any idea on what could have gone wrong? Thank you again! UPDATE: I went back to the Header Builder and under Transparent Header "Enable On" was on set on desktop. Once I enabled "Desktop + Mobile", then the headers were removed from Tablet & Mobile. Hope this was the right solution. Greatly appreciate your instruction videos.

Great tutorial! I have a question, though. I have been building my website and I was adding posts to my blog page when all of a sudden Elementor was no longer on my blog page. Everything I made on the page with Elementor is gone as well as the “Edit With Elementor” at the top of the page. Have you ever experienced this?
After install the template and since I had a full website under - my previous website is gone. Even when I go back to the previous template - all my content is gone... I do see the pages, however, how do I get it back? Perhaps nice to reference that also on the description...

This was a great tutorial, thank you. However, my astra theme is NOT populating my logo in the header. Footer is fine, favicon fine. I"ve tried every fix i can find. I've cleared cache, a bunch of other things I can't even remember now and have even uninstalled, deleted, and then reinstalled astra. It is still doing the same thing. I've spent three days on this and hours and hours. It appears on reddit and quora others have also encountered this glitch but I don't understand anything people are talking about to fix it. Does anyone have a solution they can share as if they are talking to a 5 yr old?

Regarding the contact page I built, the template should already have WP Forms (which is the plugin that makes the contact form work) set up, so all you need to do is change the "send to" email address to ensure that notifications are sent to your email. Here's how you can do it: In your WordPress dashboard, go to WP Forms. Locate the form you want to edit (likely named "Contact Form"). Click on the form name to open the form editor. In the form editor, click on Settings in the left sidebar. Navigate to the Notifications tab. Find the Send To Email Address field and change the email address to your own. Save your changes. Once you've updated the "send to" email, your contact form should be ready to go! You can always test it by typing in the form and submitting and then go check your email to see if it went through. Be sure to wait a few min for the message to show up in your email. Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy website building!
my mentor wants me to do a website from scratch using wordpress to recreate a static html website and so far ive been struggling since im only using basic elementor and using MAMP for local hosting, do u have any advice?
Yes indeed. After your get your domain name AND web hosting, everything else is completely free. The domain is like a phone number, and web hosting is like getting service with Verison for example. you have to pay for both and then you are good to go. But after those two, which are all in the first step, then you are good to go. When you sign up for the web hosting, you also get the domain included so its like a package deal. One payment and you are ready. Hope that makes it clear. Great question.
When I use elemantor and try to change size of words and stuff nothing happens. I click on the words and stuff but nothing happens. Must be a bug on my end
Sounds like a bug on your end for sure. Happens all the time. Clear all your caches and refresh your page. Should do the trick. Usually it is a caching issue
