When I made this, I added a lever on the close button to make a lock mechanic. Its really cool to see this old design be re created.

There's another video like yours but without sound and any time I watch that one I screw up my gate. I watch yours and it's perfect every time. So thank you! Super easy like you said and you explain it so well!

im in 1.17.1 and whenever i place that 2nd redstone torch the gravel falls back down but through the pistons so that theres gravel inbetween the sticky and normal pistons

Eystreem: Explaining how many ticks are meant to be in the repeaters Me: I feel like 0 ticks isnt such a thing on the repeaters, when u place one down its 1 tick and if u right click it once it turns to 2 ticks...

Does anyone else who tried to build this have the weird glitch where when you turn the bottom pistons off the bottom layer of gravel goes down through the piston it's on, preventing the sticky piston from going back up? Also at first the sticky piston just not working? Had to place, destroy, and replace the same redstone torch three times to get the sticky pistons to work. P.S. Love your tutorial vids Eystreem! Helped me add to my house and made it look really cool

Okay, I used this video like a tutorial to help walk me through building it myself, and it's not working. I got to the point at 6:22 in this video. When you look at his build, yes, it's built 5 blocks deep, and when the pistons push up, it is built, visually, in the video here, 2 blocks room for clearance. Mine only gets 1 block of clearance, no matter what I do... and the gravel, 1 layer of the gravel OR concrete powder falls down between the two piston levels on the bottom & stays. Either way, it consistently doesn't work... will try it again in the morning...

the gravel goes trough the second pusher and into the first one so it does not go up by 2 it goes up by 1 anyone have some tips?

Wow this is sick I made a 100 x 100 x 100 castle and I was looking for a good gate with fences for almost a year and now I can finally complete it thanks Eystreem

The build can easily be cut down from four blocks wide to two. Making it quite easy to make the doors seen in Five Nights at Freddy's. Despite all the speaking, this video was very helpful.

I've rebuilt this about 5 times now and can't seem to figure out why mine will only go up one block instead of two. I've got it set up exactly the same as you. (Trust me, I've checked multiple times.) Also, I'm on Xbox if that makes a difference?
