Thank you so much for creating this tutorial! I've been trying to learn orthosis fabrication over the last few months, and of the hundreds of videos Iplus the many blog post I've I've gone through, your video finally showed a way of splinting that is approachable enough to understand and not feel like I need access to a professional workshop. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and it's caused all of my joints to start wearing out, but especially my fingers and thumb. I can never find a CMC/MCP joint brace to fit my oddly shaped hands, and with such bad arthritis it's quite difficult to work on it myself, so your technique of effectively pre-casting or templatizing what will become the final brace is absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Thank you again! Because of you and the time you spent sharing your knowledge, I'm finally confident that I can craft a brace that will greatly reduce pain and give me back parts of my life that have been on hold.

Thank you very much for your feedback, I hope you all the best for splinting and managing these issues... One last suggestion is to take a moment to browse other videos I made about splinting, there are some orthosis more specific for the thumb that leave the wrist free of moving, or splints with a soft rest component for the fingers to be weared at night... I Hope it helps!

Hi! thanks for the tutorial! Is that thermoplastic sheet 1/8"? Where can I buy it? Can that splint be done with a 1/16"?
