If your white cloth is a little thin and the glue seeps through and shows on the outside, you can fold the stripes in half, sew along the open edge, turn them inside out, and just spray starch the crap out of the stripes and iron them heavily with the seam in the middle. Won’t be the same heavy thickness like the glued ones, but it’s a solid second option. You may also want to cut the stripes about 1/4” wider to account for losing some width from sewing. Either way, this video was fantastic! I’m almost done with mine and I cannot wait to wear it this Halloween weekend!
Thank you! Really appreciate it :) I bought the hat on a schooltrip to China so can't really help you with that... But on Aliexpress you'll probably find something similar.
You could get it on amazon like I got mine off amazon for like £26 and it came with the cosplay , itachis necklace, his ring , a kunai and a shuriken it was very poggers
Yooo that looks great I’m already starting to buy the stuff to make the hat Edit: I made the hat, I didn’t have everything to make the hat look like in the video but it still turned out very well. Thank you for the tutorial.
Greetings! I want to say a huge thanks to you for your tutorial! I decided to make this cosplay last autumn and today is the day when I've finished it. I know, I'm too slow)) but some result finally has been achieved so I'm very happy with it! The main difficult was to create an Akatsuki hat and your tutorial helped me a lot. I didn't plan to make a specific Akatsuki member (maybe in future) so by now I've made something like a random Akatsuki member suit:) It took several times for me to do some things correctly (for example, I found the perfect distance from the edge of the hat to attach the ribbons with the cable ties only at the third attempt). It's my first cosplay so some things can look... hmm... strange) but I tried to make it as ideal as I could. So I'm happy with the result and I'm really glad to meet your channel on RU-vid. If you have interest in what I've got I can make some photos for you)) I wish you luck!
I’m so glad to hear that! I’m suprised people are still watching the video’s and making cosplay years after I made them. I would love to see some pictures. Where can I see them?
Hi,@@CaptainBeifong! I discovered that there is such a great service as Google photos, so I decided to create an album with some pictures of the cosplay I've done. But it seems that RU-vid deletes comments with external links in any form. So I put the link to the album in a description of my channel. Please let me know what you think about my cosplay. I'm really interested in your opinion. P.S. Looking forward to your new videos)
I konw this is pretty ramdon but I feel like itachi and kisame are the only taem that dosant fight lel.but I really love the video and your chaneel and the hat looks really good:D (sorry for bad spell English is not my first langauge)
Hi, I hope I'm still on time: in the front part I have 10 pieces on each side and after the schoulders I have 14 in total. So that makes 34 in total. But I will probably depend on the size of your hat and diameter of your 'circle' of ribbons.
@@CaptainBeifong I have a question for the patterns. So behind the shoulders i layer the ribbons and on the front i normaly put them right next eachother?
Before the shoulders you start from the front and place the ribbons always a little over each other and you work towards the shoulders like this. The part after the shoulders same thing, but you start in the end and work towards the shoulders. This is so when you start in front of the hat, you cannot 'look inside' if you would start working from the shoulders towards the front or end, you would be able to look inside. It just looks better that way. Let me know if it's not clear
The names on the products was in french ans english like There,Do you was from quebec or something like that on Canada 🤔🤔 because thats not like that on the USA 🤷
Hi! Sorry for late reply. I found a place where to post the pictures of my cosplay. It's the Google photos, the link to the album is in the description of my channel. I would be glad to hear your opinion.
@@CaptainBeifong, thank you so much! Yes, with Sasuke's sword it looks more... dangerous:) I also like your Yamato's cosplay and the next time I gonna make it as it rather fit my physique. And I have an idea a bit different from yours on how to make the mask. I think it's interesting how this will look. So I'll be back soon:) Best regards! P.S. And I'm looking forward to your new videos!
