Very nice video! But your PDF pattern doesn't seem to be correct. The small piece has a cutout (for the charging cord) but the bigger piece doesn't have it. Your video shows you using the same PDF pattern, but you HAVE cut out the part on both pieces. That makes it much harder for us (especially us beginners) to cut the leather correctly for the larger of the two pieces.

Hi, thank you for your comment:) You're right, in the PDF only the small piece has the hole (half of a hole, actually). But it is nothing hard to do, you simply use the small pattern also for the bigger piece (don't know if I explained myself)

Happy new year man Thanks so much for this pattern I’m about to get my first pair of AirPods soon will make this to keep them all nice a warm🤪 nice aesthetics beautiful shooting and editing as usual You must have a good monitor on the camera to frame all these shots I can see this little vid would have been a full day shooting and cutting this together

Great instructional video. Not sure why everyone uses those rotary cutters, I haven't got the hang of those, seems to me they just aren't accurate. I'll stick with my utility knife.

Thank you:) In my opinion, rotary cutters are good for long, straight cuts. For small details, you're definitely more accurate with other kind of knives!

Question, what distance from the edge do you set your stitch line?

Hi, don't remember this exact project, I usually set it around 3mm

@@TOTUIA cool. Just made this. Works pretty well! Best for thinner leather tho, I used a 1oz goatskin on the smaller piece but like a 8-9 oz for the back/flap piece. Shoulda used the goatskin for the whole thing, but with a bit of working I got it to fit properly.

What material is your punch board made of? It looks like OSB (oriented strand board)

The one I use to make round holes is wood, while the one I use with stitching chisels is made of cork.. but, after some tests, I don't recommend this material!

Well, you can try.. I guess it will be a little tight at the beginning, but then they should fit in:)

May I ask what is the length between the size of leather and the line of sewing?

Hi! I normally go for 3.5mm, but in this case the distance is smaller (probably 1.5/2mm)

Premesso che puoi semplicemente usare il taglierino (magari aiutandoti con una moneta), qui ho utilizzato un corner punch da 7.5mm di raggio della Vinymo (cerca su Etsy)

Sono d'accordo, io uso una rondella perché lascia meno segni della moneta ma comunque un taglio netto dà sempre un risultato migliore a mio avviso. Grazie della deitta cercherò su Etsy
