Building an ammo can boom box out of a 7.62 linked 1500 round ammo can. This video shows the how to wire the electrical components and a quick rundown of the fabrication.

I built a couple of these size speaker cans. In one, I used a 10" DVC Skar subwoofer and the other two 8" Skar Audio subwoofers. Both have Dayton Audio tweeters. BIG and DEEP sound with no rattles, no tinny sound, and 300+ watts per channel. Videos on my channel...I also have made smaller ones

That looks fantastic. Two things. I would put a fuse on the battery. I would line the inside with dynomat or Mat 66. It will greatly improve the sound. Over all it looks great

I appreciate it! I definitely would do the dynomat on this one or future ones. What is the danger of not having fuse? Just to protect the components And battery from wearing out faster, or should I worry about the thing catching on fire or anything? Haha

@@firinglinechannel If there is a short it protects your components from being damaged or even starting a fire

@@diyboomboxesintexas2805 thanks man, I will have to watch more of your videos to learn more for sure. I’m gonna be making some ammo can stomp boxes coming up soon. Just gonna put a piezo microphone in it and use it as a little kick drum type thing.

I’ve seen them on Etsy for ungodly prices. I think coming up I’m going to put some cheap mics in an ammo can and make a stompbox for a one man band type thing. I’ve made one before, just gotta tweak it a little

I wanted to know if 6.5 150watt marine speaker would fit on front a plastic dry storage marine box that 15.13”Lx7.88”Wx10.13”H ?

It would be close, but I think they should work. If you have the box, most speakers come with a stencil or template for cutting there hole. So I would use that before you cut so you don’t ruin a nice box

I used these lights, but you can use any flush Mount led lights. These are a decent price and sometimes go on sale even cheaper. Thanks for watching!

It is an ammo can for 7.62 linked. 1500 rounds. It’s kind of a specialty can used in helicopters and remote controlled applications. I was really lucky to acquire it. Thanks for watching! Keep an eye out for the next video! It’s going to be a good one!
