What sucks about this video is I pressed on it thinking that one guy made an animated short film in 48 hours, except what I find out is he used a team of people which makes making a short animated film in 48 hours much easier..........

Its so poignant I keep thinking about it. Simple and effective and also motivational. I have a client who Im doing a sign painting job for. He is also making a short film for 12 years olds that is animated. He wanted me to help him with the story line because I'm also a short story writer. So I started doing research to find a good example of a simple story told well that would appeal to 12 year olds and yours came up. I appreciate that there is an enormous amount of work behind it all. I recommended for him to go away write out his story in long hand then distill it down to simple short sentences, Asking himself who, what, why, how, when, why. I like how you have differing viewpoints. I particularly liked the birds eye view . I liked how you zoomed into the people's faces. I suggested to him that he do a simple story board but his son who is an animator who gives him advice said dont waste your time with story boards. Do you think that you could get away without making one? I think a really good quote at the end of his animation would be " The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step"
