👋 Our "Launch Your First App" program will help you build up your iOS skills to publish your very own feature rich app even if you’re a beginner starting from scratch. cwc.to/youtubeoffer
Thank you Chris! Very good lessons. When 52 years ago I used to program (today you say coding) in Fortran-4 language by punch card for IBM-370 mainframe computer, I even didn't imagine that one day programing might be like this! For each run we must wait two days in the line! You can imagine how many days took to debug a program! This generation is very lucky!
it's crazy that in the past 3 years i have used every inch of xcode and ios publishing (for unity and flutter) except actually coding in it, i'm here to start from zero again, keep it up nice tutorial.
I am a old programmer that had work with Machine code, C, Pascal , Visual Basic, Delphi , ++ and your video is probably the best tutorial that I every saw. It is so easy to follow. Thanks
This was a fantastic course. Took me 5 days with a good chunk of time for each day. But Chris' instruction and how he presents the building blocks of basic Swift coding is very intuitive and, for someone in whom coding is largely Greek, he presented it in a digestible and accessible way. Not easy to do. Very much recommend this!
I love this video, I'm glad I stumbled upon it. I recently started learning to program in C# and just watching this app being made from scratch has helped me tremendously even though I'm not learning Swift.
I've been wanting to learn how to code with swift and I started in different platforms like tons of times. But result was always same they were all too boring with the "only info no applying" type of education. Definitely this video series was the one. It was so much fun and the best introduction to me. Also even English is not my first language Chris's English was very easy to understand. I regret that it took me so long to find this channel. I'll continue learning from Chris. Thanks
just got a new Mac! great refresher as I last built and publish my app to the App Store in 2013 :) - Great content as always Chris :) - Thank you for making me Code again :)
Hey Chris! I’m just getting into creating apps as I find it would be a fantastic hobby to get me in that “zone” of working when time flies by. I’ve wanted to build an app for awhile but I am pushed back from the thought of code since I tried to be a computer science major and hated coding. You made me realize I didn’t hate coding, I hated the people who taught me in such horrible ways. You explain everything very well, I am still an information science major and you have taught me more coding in 3 hours than I learned in 4 years. This is my first video of yours but I plan to continue my journey through watching your video. Thank you Chris!
WoW I can't believe im grasping this as a complete beginner at a young 60yr old !!!!!! I have an app idea in mind I wrote out a couple weeks ago and have considered using a no code program to do it, but yet in the back of my mind I've always wondered if using a no code platform would put me at risk of it being stolen due to my lack of understanding of doing it myself to be in full control of learning how to obtain the desired results I really want it to do. You're Right. It's not as hard as I thought it would be. It's actually fun & exciting. I'm so glad i came across your tutorial.
I hope you do a video for Android because I want mines to be available for both platforms. Btw you have a wonderful speaking voice that makes it that much more to grasp this. Chris you're great. Keep up the good work 👏🏽 👍🏽
This is a fantastic course and I am loving it. I would like to point out though that there is no lesson 5 in the video timeline ( chapters), just something I thought might be worthwhile if you are trying to find it.
I have finished this lesson! I am so glad to get your lesson, it give me a good beginning. I think I will have much fun in iOS developing journey. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your extremely educational and understandable videos. Another point, your speech is slow and very well articulated, so even though my English is not fluent, I can perfectly understand your explanations without using subtitles. Awesome, thank you!
i swear this teacher is really good. i needed a refresher as im coming from other languages and how he show the syntax of swift xcode is no doubt in a class of it self great tutorial
for people who have no prior coding experience, this is awesome! for those with experience with other programming languages, the verbose explanations can feel quite repetitive but still, a great experience... been working with react native over the past year, wanted to go native native, this is cool. amazing stuff man!
Hello Sir, I´m so thankful for your Tutorials! I tried few lectures about SwiftUI but this is the best. You are explaining it perfect! I mean english is not my native language but even your expression and language are so good that its so easy to listen! Respect and keep it up!
Great course. Xcode is tendious wow. I can't believe with all of the web development software they could not build an easier way on how to create an ios app. Need a modifier for every little thing. UGH.. I'll keep trucking because Chris is such a great teacher.
Hello! I was using a Blue Spark USB microphone. In recent videos, I started using a Shure SM7B mic for the coding parts but i'm not sure if it's an upgrade. You be the judge and let me know! Here's a coding part with the new mic: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vnDvApSKMQE.htmlsi=t-zCR3xBI2JYlD-m&t=95 Thanks so much for watching and learning with us!
Great tuto Chris, thanks I have some questions plz, first i m working on chrome flex os how can i install Xcode on? my second question how can i make a form with multiple pages qnd with buttons on next / previous / send
Hello, thank you for taking the time to comment. You may want to consider a Mac Mini, the entry level is more than enough for coding. and if you already have the other accessories like monitor, keyboard and mouse. :) --Joash
Hi i'm new here and i dint have time to listen to the whole video. i just want ask if he is showing the whole tutorial and i can make an app with just his videos or do i have to sign up for a course or something
It should work on Xcode 15! Should you encounter a problem, you can try joining and posting it in our community: cwc.to/codecrew Thanks for learning with us! - Iñaki
Do I need to have a Mac computer to develop an app with XCode? If yes, what model? I am not familiar with the different Mac computers. If not, how do I get Xcode to work in my non-Mac laptop?
You will need a Mac computer to develop with Xcode, and if you're looking for something affordable in the market, I would suggest going for an M1 mac with at least 8Gb of RAM and 512Gb of storage. - Iñaki
you forgot to show how this app will go to iphone and app store. Please add a section to show how we can add apps to phone. also where should we configure app logo..??
You are a very good instructor. You should apply a job in University of Toronto. I am wondering if you have more advanced tutorial for Swift Ui, like table view, connecting with firebase, push notification.......
I am learning python from code academy And I think when I want to take a rest your channel is best to learn You are a explaining very well, I hope I will finish video, Please make a restaurant food order system With conditions of 1 minimum order 2 delivery with in km 3 payment system (stripe and PayPal) 4 selection of pickup or delivery 5 selection of time Etc Sorry for requesting this You can make this app tutorial paid Definitely all will pay. Thank you
Hi @CodeWithChris, at 1:27 you added Spacer to create spacing between the elements, is there a difference between adding Spacer vs Padding in this scenario ? Thanks for the great video.
20:20 it gives me an error for trying to place the color function outside of a VStack. I don't know how to fix this. Edit: It works after putting both the Color function and the VStack within the ZStack
Hi chris! What would be the best alternative for xcode on windows? what is a similar app that I can use to generate apps but on windows? and android? Thank you!
Thank you, Chris for this tutorial, very helpful. I'm new to SwiftUI, so this is very appreciated. Quick question, the corner radius has not being working, don't know what might be the issue. I have search d online for help, but nothing helpful comes up. Will appreciate if you can help.
Hello @olumayowarichards5508! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, unfortunately we can't debug it for you in the comment section here but you can try joining and posting in our community: cwc.to/codecrew --Joash
Hi Chris , do you have a tutorial about authentication the idea is to the develop and ios with firebase so you add pics as admin and multiple users. each use can access his pics. thanks a lot in advance and congrats for your awesome teaching and videos! :)
Hi Chris, i came across your page through this video with 0 app development knowledge. I just want to ask if you can create a tutorial for those who want to develop an app for both IOS & Andriod.
Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. However, we don't have any content that teaches Android development. If you need to learn to develop for both platforms, I suggest learning a cross-platform framework like Flutter or React Native. If you wish to learn how to develop for Android natively, you may want to check out: developer.android.com/ - Iñaki
suggestion, could you show the consumption of RAM, for us to identify how much memory equi must have to buy a new Mac, in the normal open setup, vscode + react-native + iOS emulator, Xcode + emulator and android + android studio+emulator Android, each separate setup, to find out what minimum configuration is needed, as Macbooks are very expensive
I have an app development design that i want to launch but im 40 and i don't have time to develop the application because I'm an owner operator of an egg farm. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I can get it developed by someone else. My idea for the application will bring in lots of $$$. I'm confident it will do well.
