I think it really just depends on how familiar you are with the subject. Most people are going to skip the articles and videos discussing common folds in origami and jump straight to this one, which results in a misunderstanding. I found it pretty simple myself....but I acknowledge the fact that, to me, it’s just a refresher, so I’m going to experience significantly less confusion than a true beginner would.
