You could add a layer of Distress Glaze over top so that if it gets wet the paint won’t run or smear. Very cool envelope👍

Always loved these banners and the watercolour upgrade makes them that much better!👍 One tip I would add is to let the darker backside colours dry before you start the lighter fronts. Much less likely to bleed between the layers.🎨🖌️😀

After your paint dries but before you do the lettering, try pressing with a clothes iron set on low. No steam. Maybe a blank sheet on top. Test it, some paints can withstand gentle heat so you can smooth the rippled paper.

Friendly reminder that in the US this envelope would require additional postage because of the portrait orientation.

This is just fantastic! I'm still learning about watercolor - would doing the front first and then the back help eliminate the need for touching up...?

Not necessarily as your back colours which are much darker could potentially bleed into the lighter colours on the front. But why not experiment on a practice copy? You’ll just have double the fun!
