"Now we will see if it is leaking. It's leaking." XD *puts tape on it* "Now it's sealed, so it won't leak anymore" *Obviously still leaking* XD I love this guy.
For anybody who would like to know what to use in order to make it not leak, the tape that you need is called teflon tape/ plumber's tape/ PTFE tape. It is really thin and goes directly on the threading of the plumbing. It really helps and is pretty cheap. Have fun!
A little DIY tip. My favorite thing to use for sealing water or air fittings, is Blue locktite. its easy to apply just squirt some around your fitting screw together and you only need to leave it for a min or so to dry.
I made one just like it I went to the Home Depot and I told the guy there what I needed and even showed him the video and he liked it any ways I love my new oil lamp it's nice thanks.
I have a question. I babysit and tried making this for the kids as a cool night light but I am afraid that it might be dangerous for the kids. Is there a way to make this but have some kind of insulation around the flame?like glass or something. thank you in advance I hope you read my comment.
thats the strongest most durable lamp i seen...maybe you could make a hand torch version, somthing like the olympic torch...for night time zombie hunting of course
Plumbing parts cost a fair bit! However You can cut down the cost a bit by gathering scrap wood and make a stand from that and by buying a cap instead of a hose barb and just drill a hole in it. However this is only effective if you have the tools, but for me it cost around $20 for the necessary parts. Also buy the brass components and not the galvanised or chrome plated ones to lower the cost some more.
maybe you should turn up your volume, i knew what he was saying ever since i started watching CRH, and it sounds very clear to me and many other fans of his.
Hello Russo. I see you have some problems with seals leaking tubes. I can give you good tips if you do not have the tape. You can use plastic bags you get at the supermarket when shopping, just cut similar to the width of the tape strips and wrap it around the threads of the tubes. I would like you to do a video with this technique. Hope you like it. Thank you.
Should I need to use some crappy plumber's tape? Here's a tip: For long term aplicattions instead of using plumber's tape try applying regular silicone to the threads. Best used on long term aplications because it takes a very long time if ever (and I am sure after many many years it might) for it to dry out. :P
Mr. Rich B.O.B Thank you for correcting me on the teflon tape xD. And thanks for the idea with the silicone, makes sense actually i never thought of it that way.
In a zombie apocalypse, I'd use all that plumbing stuff for plumbing. Maybe you should make one out of a coke can and a shoe lace, but then I wouldn't want to run out of shoelaces if zombies were chasing me.
btw that lamp oil is called kerosene for those that doesnt know the name, i found its way much cheaper to buy it from paint shop as kerosene than buying it as lamp oil.
