Instead of doing this and making it a bit less messy you could do the following step listed down below: • first take some coffee powder in a plate. • add a little bit of water to make it a little bit liquidy, be careful u don't pour much. • take a paint brush and apply the coffee and water mix on the paper. • dry it with a dryer • write down whatever u want to. • crumble it up. (you can also crumble it up before painting the page with coffee and water mixture) (additional): • if u want u can burn the edges slightly •you can add a perfume which u most oftenly wear. • to close it you can make a envelope and seal it with stamp. if u don't have stamp u can melt candle and have the wax pour down and place a coin. EASY! Yup that's it! I saw it on Instagram and I thought of giving a tip here. I'm writing it with pure love and no intention of hate, i absolutely love this process but i thought it's a bit more time taking! You can try either of the process it will result the same just a bit difference in the color of the page. Byee hope u like the idea!

It works with tea quite well, and you don’t even have to waste the tea. You can run the teabag on it once you are done.

It’s easier just dabbing it with a tea bag, that way it’s less messy, more simple and it’s basically the exact same outcome

I like to do this as well! I've personally used just a big box with tea and carefully put them on top of eachother (which also didn't actually wrinkle the paper) but I've also heard of some methods that use coffee since the color turns out different. (You can look up tea staining tutorials for more methods to do this!)

Whenever I do this I use a bit of coffee, put a towel under it in case it spills over, and use a baking sheet. It's a much easier process, also if you have some ground coffee in with the mixture it helps with the aging effect.

Wine was accidentally poured on my notebook, after it dried I found this video and so I ripped it out and turned it into a simple letter, found out later on that I can still smell the wine on my paper. Thanks for the tip to not my waste paper.

I would try using thicker unlined paper so the ink color doesn’t bleed out like that? Also instead of coffee you can use tea 🫖 and just dip the paper instead of soaking it or just brush a light wash of the tea/coffee over both side of the paper

Sprinkle a little coffee granules onto the wet paper too. This gives you darker ‘blotch’ stains. Tear the edges and use plain paper. Lined paper makes it look like school paper!❤

A better idea is using a tea bag just dip it in some water and pat it onto your sheet of paper ☕️

That paper: *being dipped into coffee, having coffee poured and barely getting wet* My paper: *touches a single waterdrop, BOOM. tears into pieces with a single touch*

Btw if you dont want to waste a bunch of coffee for this or it gets too wet when you do use coffee, you could use a teabag instead and it still gives this effect. All you have to do is make the teabag wet and then brush it over the paper. Just be careful not to do it too harsh so it doesn't rip while you're using it. Crumpling it a little will also give it a vintage vibe. Also, you could try burn or rip the edges of the paper but make sure you're careful while doing it and don't burn down your house

I done that but I also went it after with a newly used tea bag so still wet but still tea in it and darkened some spaces

Tea will give you a deeper color. I use tea to stain lace and fabric to make it look aged.

Use tea and use the tea bag to dab on the paper and it will givr it a brown affect on the side

You need to do it with a blank page, otherwise the water will fray the blue colour of the lining, or whatever other colour may be in the page other than the desired white.

You should try getting instant coffee from the dollar store and just ball up the paper and set it in a cup of the liquid of instant coffee overnight
