Thanks! Agreed.. I love faith in ER so much.. I think with all the new thematic focus on gods and demigods, they knew faith had to be a little more special🙏
I always loved faith builds in any DS game. I'm new to Elden Ring and watched nearly 50 videos about Faith/builds for Elden Ring. This is the best video by far! Liked and subscribed when I heard the Donkey Kong music.
there's a glitch with the dragon after you kill it immediately go back to the site of Grace and it will rest the dragon and he will still be alive but you still get the runes and you can repeatedly do it
1:36 Thank you, I think your guide is really considered "beginner's" guide since other guys just do things like requiring endgame weaponly/Level or some insane skill(player's)... or just available after beat the BOSS.
Wow, you saved me casting a touch fire spell while wielding a crappy spear naked for three hours. Instead I got a great your of the world map and some decent offensive options. Cheers to that!
You can still cheese that knights cavalry. Use horse to get up on one of the little ornamental bowl things on the bridge. Then when it gets close, blast it with incants. It can't reach you. Might need to wait until you are a little more powerful. I did this on an INT sorcerer build and just farmed the ball thing for a minute so I could get enough mind to spam rock sling. I got it down enough to finish it off with a crossbow.
Bro first off I want to thank you for being literally the only creator that explains literally anything on Elgin ring I appreciate that I really do you have no idea how long it took to find your video LOL
Thanks a lot for your help man. I’m new to the game and getting this stuff has helped me a lot already. All the best to you and I hope you continue making more content.
2 years later, just got the game and bro thank you! 🙏 Dragons + Katana = my dream build and you have given it to me early game. I just decided to choose prophet due to me liking Faith stat from Souls 3. This is a sign from above that I picked correctly 😂 Awesome video 🔥🔥🔥
sub earned. you'd be surprised how many people skip class selection and don't let new players know what damn class to even select at the create your character lol
Just to add for some new Elden Ring players, if u want an OP faith melee wep, you can go to roundtable hold and jump down from balcony, then go to the room on your right, if done right you should be invaded by an npc whose not that hard to beat, defeating him will drop the Cipher Pata (you need 30 faith to use it btw)
Thankyou for this video, helped a lot. I lost my 500+ hours save because of switching to ps5 and i was running this amazing blasphomous with faith build. Im now getting back into it before the dlc releases. This helped me get more excited to play and grind again!
Very well made video! Did you know that when you kill the sleeping dragon, if you're fast enough, you can rest at the site of grace and it respawns the dragon and also gives you around 50k runes each time? The key is to stay near the tail so you're not as far away from the grace as you would be attacking it's body. Nearing the end, when you know you're about to kill it, take your time swinging and as soon as you see it's health bar drop on the final bleed proc, use torrent to get to the grace as fast as possible and rest. :)
Excellent video, man! Very factual and to the point. Other videos mostly just show what the build does after the fact and does a poor job of explaining where the items are located
TYVM! I am guilty of not laying out how to make the build too pretty often... it's tough to cover beginning and endgame for a build in the same video so I am gonna start splitting them into 2 videos
TYVM! I made one for INT that youtube like locked in no-view jail, if you are running int at some point please check it out. Faith is amazing tho... you may never go back.
I like how it is kinda palanced if you like incantations but also challinge if you use this build by your way.becuase neglecting that most of faith builds require a late game items and high level of faith like 40 or 60, it is also way way too op or it is just spamming that ruins the game experince. Glad to see this 🎉
I don’t know if the knights calvary glitch still works but I accident dropped off and died and he did the same thing when i respawned I got the ash of war and picked up the runes they were all there 😂. Great build! Having a blast with it
great vid this is fun and hits hard cheers, if u wanted to use golden vow u could put it on a dagger and pre-buff b4 a fight, it applies the buff to u not to the weapon like sacred blade does u would just need to invest more into mind for a bigger fp pool edit: at lennas rise u can use the torrent to jump up the tower and then doing a jump at the top of ur arc to land on the walkway where the inside lift stops, follow the steps outside the tower up into a room with a chest and a memory stone in it
for the nights calvarly if you get on a tree near the end opposite of the grace and get him beneath you, you can safley go back on the bridge and wait for him to fall off, or use rejection.
First time Soulsborne player - Following this by the time i actually fought the poor guy i kinda zipped around like anime character with aow(that night cavalry one)and my dragon rot + blood hound summons kinda stomped him so bad 🤣.Thank you so much...
My suggestion for leveling very fast: it requires a little bit of travel, but it's worth it. (This works for any build). 1. Go to Ft. Faroth (which you'd do to kill the dragon anyway), grab the Dectus Amulet half. 2. Go to Ft. Haight, grab the other Dectus Amulet half. 3. Kill Margit and Godrick. 4. Do Varre's quest so you get the Pureblood Knight's Medal-this is key. 5. Kill Rennala. You must have two great runes to break the seal on the Capital. 6. Beeline to the Capital. You can kill the Draconic Crucible Knight by sneaking behind him and using Poison Mist. I'd allocate all your flasks to Cerulean so you have plenty of FP. 7. Make your way to the Leyndell Catacomb grace. Your object here is Mogh's shackle down in the sewers. 8. Use your Pureblood Knight's Medal to travel to Mogh. Get to the boss fight. 9. THE PAYOFF: use Mogh's Shackle three times right outside the boss fog. When you enter Mogh will be completely unresponsive. Just be careful not to stagger him. If you pop a Gold Pickled Fowl's Foot before you kill him, that's 520,000 runes-plus the runes from the dragon outside Ft. Faroth. That's 600,000+ runes plus Mogh's remembrance. I went from level 20 to 74. That's a hell of a jumpstart! Hope that helps!
@Sabizos This whole video is about being op asap. I wouldn't recommend any of this the first playthrough and just enjoy doing what you want but for others it doesn't matter.
Golden Vow is a good, personally I'd reccomend putting it on a dagger that you have as a secondary weapon so that your main weapon has that damage boost and ranged attack of Sacred Blade
@@LeagueofMilk sadly the bridge boss trick got patched but the dragon was a big help, I did not even know where to get the dragon powers so that's also awesome
Awesome!!! Those dragon communion powers are some of the coolest things in the game... there's another dragon church hidden in Limgrave. It's on a little island but you reach it through a cave on the coast.
Thoroughly enjoyed the watch (and overworld music) def. agree the uchi+sacred blade combo is your best bet early on for a faith roll. Also liked the nifty Rune farming tips. esp. the knight on the bridge. I didn't realize there was a night encounter there. ANyway I need to bite the bullet and get my Arc up to 12. I've been putting it off but I need those dragon powers something fierce, milk!
TY:D Yeah my friend... you are gonna want to try these dragon incants a bit. They're good, particularly rot breath. You can always use mask of confidence headpiece or some other arcane boosting item to try without a respec. Hope the book's goin well.
@@LeagueofMilkTy for the tip, I do have that mask. I appreciate that about your builds (and vids in general) how you find ways to make them more accessible with items, different playstyles and the like my book is filled with horror/death and the depressing atmosphere is starting to get to me . so I guess you could say it's going great
Man it would have been really helpful if you could add more screenshots of the map, especially for the dragon part. I dont remember the names of these places and it was tedious to keep jumpinh back and forth
I think it's all about getting to the top of the hill asap, but since it's a glitch there's prolly a bit more to getting it work consistently that I'm missing..
I always take the extra stonesword keys as a starting gift. I know there's way more keys in the world than you'll need but it saves me time and runes from not having to buy them from vendors. It's neat that you aren't missing out on anything no matter what gift you choose in this game. People that don't take the golden seed can still max their estus in late game.
Especially if you know where to go and what to loot, the key might be the best bet. But the fact we don't need to worry is really awesome. I like how this game is more generous with that "I have to NG+ again" stuff like showering us with stonesword keys or NPC quest triggers not being so tight in timing as before No lautrec hub-npc murderer either. Kinder world than souls in that way!
Regarding NPC quests, I think the only one I fucked up in my first playthrough was the Yura questline. Which annoyed me a lot because I was an arcane build and I wanted that sweet blood twinblade. But at least every other quest line allowed me to do them whenever I wanted.
I actually messed that quest up twice... it's one of the few I have complaints about (finding that sign in lucaria is not that likely without a guide/tip online). I messed it the basic way first time by going to giants flame area, but next it canceled out at altus plateau because I either went to capital or completed Varre's/Mohg's questline before getting to that church... I was on a bleed build too. I think it was varre's quest that triggered him and eleonora not to spawn tbh. One of those guys with bloody helix was there instead
@@LeagueofMilk up until I found your video, I was beginning to think the dark souls community is a bit of a snooty one lol. I just couldn't find something a total beginner like me would find helpful. I feel the same way about the guides and websites covering the game. Maybe the fallout76 community spoiled me lol
Hey I love the idea of melee and faith based.I just wanted to use bloodhound step as the melee ash of war. What modifications or sword would you recommend for the same?
Thank u so much i was scared to go against margit but now im almost finished with ur guide so im looking for an armor cuz i started as a wretch what should i take?
Try grabbing bloody slash from limgrave to speed er up With that you can use any weapon It sounds like you don’t meet the requirements tho, which cancels out status buildup
guys im not sure if this is a bug or just extremely good but the dragon communion seal is absolutely ridiculous. At +5 and 17 Faith and like 25 Arcane it destroyed majority of the caelid roaming bosses. fire ball spell that prophet starts with just melted both rotten tree avatars, im guessing they are weak to fire. One of them gives you over 100k for killing it. Rot breath and early frenzy spell killed greyoll? aka the dragon on the bridge. I also killed centipede boss in cave that you get teleported to from chest trap. Before i did all this i also went to poison/rot cave where you get the golden scarab talisman for killing the mini boss in there. All this before killing Godrick LOL!!!! in like 3 hrs in and im like level 60 from all these souls
Hahaha very very gud stuff -- I think you're carrying some of the weight too from the sound of it. Fallingstar beast in that little room scares me. Even after killing radahn, I often wait on that guy. But yeah, I think the scaling on dragon communion is a little OP, or the pure faith scaling seals are a little UP. Golden order is really strong too but all the pure ones are a little underwhelming.
His game looks so smooth... i have a beast PC but the lighting issues in game and stutters/tears when moving the camera around are absolutely horrible :/
This was recorded on ps5 but I did grab a PC and it’s tricky getting the settings right. The port seems kinda bad but armored core was a lot better so FROM shouldn’t pull this crap again
@@LeagueofMilk okay yeah maybe I've just been watching a lot of console videos lol. Seems like they don't care about PC players and that almost everyone plays on console 🤣 I managed to fix a lot of the glitching/tearing by bumping graphics to maximum rather than trying to up the resolution on lower settings
What am I supposed to do since the Night Calvelery glitch was patched, getting 40k runes will take a lot of grinding with a weapon that takes 15 dex and I can't use yet until getting said 15 dex
You can sit on a branch and use frenzied burst or rot breath to cheese him pretty reliably, but it takes a lot longer and you'll need some blue flasks & higher faith, so definitely do the dragon farm first. If you rest at the site of grace immediately after, it'll respawn the dragon -- I missed showing that... found out literally 10 minutes after I uploaded this
You can't go straight up the hill anymore it seems, but it can work. You need to keep him right on your behind almost all the way up the hill, so slow and steady. Then at the top you can sprint off toward the rock face and bestial sanctum at an angle. I showed it in the last guide I made for INT builds. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ItCC7yU0IK8.html
How are you doing like 52+ damage a hit to the dragon I followed everything and have sacred blade on the uchigatana and it's only doing about 16 a hit? Did I follow something wrong
Well, I ended up playing with that build all night. Put my mark down and got called into a load of other peoples games, completely destroyed the bosses and invaders with this build. Just have to figure out how to level up for mid and end game.
I am not able to use the uchigatana effectively because my dex is to low. I'm already level 40. Is it worth it to spec into dex a bit? I do have the weapon already. Maybe the claymore from castle morne will be better for me but i don't know whereabouts it is
Yes, good idea! Claymore or katana are good though katana is probably better. If you want a heavy sword weapon I’d recommend zweihander but a little dex for a fast backup option could be smart
@@LeagueofMilk just trying to get through early game quick haha i will go with the uchigatana, can't wait until i het my hands on the lovely blasphemous blade. Also isn't the golden vow like one of the best incantations in the game?
It's late here but I'm gonna try again tomrw -- the trick isn't going fast though, you have to drag him up really slowly almost to the very top. If he despawns midway up, it doesn't work anymore. That's the only thing that seems patched.
Unfortunately, it looks like this is patched -- I can't get it to work either. There are a couple other cheese methods, but they're more difficult... I might try to upload a workaround but I think there are other vids up already of how to cheese him using a branch and ranged attacks
The boss on the bridge doesn’t die for me :(, I reach the top and he just walks back onto the bridge. I followed your movements exactly and waited until nightfall so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong
I’m sorry that got patched! I’m so sorry for the wasted time… I tried to label that change in the time stamp but this still happens. Hope the rest of the guide was useful!
Hm good question. I’d say vigor to 40 is gonna make the game way more forgiving particularly later on. Faith is probably the second most important. Mind is really good too with how much fp the dragon incants use
So uhhh anybody who is just watching this now, the nights cavalry glitch is now patched as of this update, i recommend just try killing him rn unless i messed something up a
