My dad used to make these for all the kids in the family. Once he passed away I thought this would be lost forever. I have always wanted to make them and now I CAN! Thank you so much!
The thing is, if you sell it for $2, you could make those two dollars into MORE rings and then sell those, make rings out of the $4 you get, and so on.
Maaannn I jjst wanna say thank you I used to watch your videos when I was like 11 I loved origami and still do it’s just been years! I am now 19 and still folding 💪
Loved it! Thank you! As the official "Tooth Fairy" of my house, I try to leave origami dollars and it's been really hard to find tutorials easy enough to follow as a beginner! Thanks again!
Someone gave me a dollar bill as change from a book fair I had at my school and it had the words “little d***” on it. I realized that I shouldn’t spend this since it would be a bit rude so I decided to make this.
Wow, I have been trying to make this ring for a long time. I watched your video today and have already made two perfect ones. Thank you so much for making it so easy to understand.
Hi Rob! You probably won't see this, but just in case you do thanks for making my childhood awesome! i'm 13 now but I remember doing this when I was like 7 with my first laptop and trying to make one as a surprise for my mom
I just finished making 2 out of $1 dollar bills. I gifted one to my sister who clowned me, but whatever. I love my little origami rings. Then for shits and giggles I also made a nice pinky ring out of a $50 bill. It came out awesome. Kinda had to take the instructions in this video and do them upside down and backwards to get it right. Thanks to the video creator for making this video. I had fun.
I have made so many rings with your explanation, I can't thank you enough! Right now I'm leaving for a trip over the weekend and carry a mini portrait of my family with me this way. It is so cheesy and yet soooooo rewarding ;)) Thank you for taking the time to explain everything in such great detail!
Thanks Rob! I'm not very good at origami and thought this would end in disappointment, but it was much easier than I anticipated! It's easy enough for me to do this at 3 am with no sleep yet!
great tutorial .... very descriptive, clear and to the point. I succeeded on the first try although I was struggling with the very last tuck. It looked a bit untidy and kept popping out. I instead folded the overhang bit so its hidden under the '1' rather than tuck it into the pouch. It works great but what I also noticed is that it gives the ring a better more uniform appearance all round. With the pouch method you will notice that the 'north' portion of the '1' is a tad bulkier. Hope it helps in improving. Thanks for this though. Great vid
Erefaan Joseph Hey thanks for the feedback! Ah that’s great that you were able to find your own method for locking it, I encourage people to try different things and modify their creations as they like so excellent job 😀
Thanks for showing the easiest way to make this. This is my first time doing an origami of anything and have viewed several videos but i found yours the easiest to follow. Im making this for my nephew's birthday this weekend. I was trying to think of a creative way of gifting money instead of my usual cash inside an envelope.
@RobsWorld..You make it look simple enough that after maybe not more than a few trys most ppl could make the $1 "Buck Bling" &/ or be able to recall the steps to make the ring. I'll try to make 1 myself after I have my late dinner. Thanks.
This is really cool. Thanks for showing me this cool video! Also Rob, there was something in the video that caught my attention, While I watched, I noticed tha... Read more (3 lines)
lol whatever u guys do DON'T goto the store withe these and use them to buy stuff.... i went down the street thinking i was cool and bought some stuff and tried paying with 9 rings lol! he looked at me and said think you are funny unroll those if ur paying with them. so for the next 5 mins i straightened them back to dollars so i could buy my stuff. people were looking at me funny like i was weird or some shit.
you did great video. I made it perfect. other video of another guy trying to make one didn't show as good as yours. so thxs for this my daughter will love this ring. but one thing you must have small fingers cause I even went out farther before I folded an it's so tight. but no worries it's for my kids they'll love it. thxs
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am a kindergarten teacher. I think I will make enough of these for my students as an end of the year gift. The 1 on the front will be perfect as they will be entering first grade. Again thank you! I just need to come up with a clever phrase to go with the ring. That should be easy enough.
After I read your comment I was like bet. I took a $50 bill I received for Christmas and played around with it until I got it. I am gonna wear this bad boy every day. It is such a beaut. Lol
Great job on the detailed ... was looking for a video to remind me which way to start in order to frame my denomination, and I'm really glad this one popped up first. Enjoyed the videography and the detail in which you gave your instructions so much I watched the entire lesson.
Actually, I've learned a lot on the inside "ME", but what amazes me is, there's talented PPL wasting their time... but yes, this origami ring was the first I was taught and its easy also an origami shirt & pants from a dollar bill are fun to make... so have fun making it... LOL...💵
I was gonna give my friend some money for her birthday, but I wanted to spice it up a little. Perfect tutorial, so easy to understand and follow. Love how you made it accessible to people without access to American bills. Thank you good sir! Keep up the great work!
