This is a very helpful video, thank you for sharing. I want to make my own wreath this year and really love the idea of using baubles like yours. I've watched and rewatched y our video 4 times now and I'm confident enough I think, to give it a try. Big thank you from the UK.

Most of the ornaments shown in this video come from Hobby Lobby, but Walmart and other stores also sell similar tubes of them.

@@Kiki-wi7px No, I don't. But it's more than one tube worth. I usually combine different color schemes so I always end up with several tubes. I end up making 2-3 wreaths

Usually flimsiness would be a bad quality in a pool noddle, but for crafts it’s great!

Verry nice but maybe fix the ribbon more secure. Glue can often not hold the wheight for the ornament
@TeriSquari
@TeriSquari 2 года назад
I hear what you’re saying. I am not sure if it shows in the video, but I essentially melted the pool noodle into the ribbon using the heat and glue from the glue gun. So it’s somewhat welded together, if that makes sense. I made another at this time the same way, and it’s been hanging at my in-laws house for over a year on their wall with no issue.

How do you get the ornaments to stay on pool noodle? I used hot gorillas glue stick and they still pop off ? what am I doing wrong
@TeriSquari
@TeriSquari 2 года назад
How easily do they pop off? Because it's hot glue, if it gets bumped too hard / dropped / etc sometimes they have a tendency to pop off compared to other glue. One way that I try to circumvent this is to glue them each in multiple spots- so I make sure each one I add is glued to at least 2 other ornaments, which will double the bond strength of each ornament to the rest which in turn will make the whole item that much stronger. If that still doesn't work for you, check the ornaments you're using and see if the glue just isn't bonding to them. Sometimes that happens because of the smooth plastic surface. In that case what I would do is try out different types of hot glue or (although this may be too annoying) change glues altogether. Hope this helps!

I put 2 full length pool noodles together. I now have an absolutely beautiful variety of light blue and white shades wreath large enough to hang from my upstairs balcony. But I cannot move it to hang up because the balls want to fall off. 😢
@TeriSquari
@TeriSquari 9 месяцев назад
Yeah when it’s gets big and heavy like that, the balls do tend to come off easily! I definitely recommend using a stronger glue, like E-6000, gorilla glue sticks, etc! Only drawback to the typical glues is you need to hold it in place with glue sticks first since traditional glues take a while to dry.

@@TeriSquari Thank you. I am new to crafting, and this project taught me many things, especially to only use Gorilla glue sticks. I placed a sturdy foam board around the circular back of the wreath. It is holding so far, but I told my neighbors I don't expect it to stay and if the find the balls on the ground to please place them by my stairs. 😂

I probably should have mentioned in the video that if you are using more basic, weaker glues that this wreath will not hold up outside. The weather is pretty damaging to glue, so you need to be picky about which ones you use if it's going outside. @@TallMichelleWithTheLongHair
