BRILLIANT!!! This is FANTASTIC!!! I have been *wanting* to create a set up like this…because it is SUPER important for talking to people or having classes via Zoom or whatever…to be able to LOOK Inyo the camera and LOOK at the person…instead of constantly looking to a monitor on the side! Thanks for this video!!! I’m excited to try it out and share!!! 😁
@@AdrianSalisbury I just used it for the first time on a zoom call with South Africa students. It went well. I still have to tweak the Sony ZV-1 and get the camera angle right. But it went very well I thought. Their lighting needed some attention :)
I can't get them any more. They are Converse, I got them from Specsavers in the UK. It's definitely worth looking at matt frames though rather than glossy ones!
great video on this topic...best i've seen yet and very helpful - ordered the teleprompter using your link.... also, wondering what size iPad are you using....can't remember if u mentioned that or not.....
Great video. I took your advice and downloaded the Duet App. I can locate the teleprompter setting. Any help would be appreciated. Note: I downloaded the app on both the iPad and Mac Mini.
Sidecar doesn’t flip into teleprompter mode so I have been using Duet Air but today I tried a new cheeped app called www.yamdisplay.com, looks very impressive 👍
Hello Adrian, I love your videos. I came across this one because I am using Duet Air for the first time. What cable are you using to connect your iPad to your Mac mini? I will need one that is a little longer the the apple cable. Thanks in advance.
I gained teleprompter mode with this - GREAT ... HOWEVER - I then lost the ability to use my Sigma 16mm lens (which is great for low light and Blurred background effect!). WHY? Because this single fixed focus lens was sadly too wide focus for this teleprompter so I had to go back to the kit lens which now have less great colour and so on. A usual case of gaining something but losing something else lol
i used logitech brio 4k with plexicam - need the brio wave shelf also but super easy - the threads for tripod mount are hidden on the brio just need to pull the base off - watch youtube video how
it's still freaking too complicated... I bought a fancy laptop with a camera why do I have to buy another camera for god sake? and an ipad? and a tripod... just to be able to look at people in eye??
I noticed in this video that you're using what looks like a Godex Soft Globe, why do you prefer that to a conventional soft box since you're directly in front of the camera, or do the white walls either side of you provide soft fill in lighting?
Hi Adrian (remember me!?) I’ve tried Duet Air before but the problem I had was it kept going off into standby. So part way through using the screen (either as teleprompter or a second screen) it would keep going off! So I ended up buying a panel monitor (small enough to clamp and raise) that I used as a screen. HOWEVER it still didn’t get me a teleprompter screen. Any idea how to ensure the display doesn’t keep going off? And does it need a new iPad or will mine from about 4 years ago work (the one before the pro came out).
do you mean because I've dimmed it? I don't take it that far and remember that your screen share output isn't affected by your monitor brightness. Is that what you were meaning?
I lost you on the ecamm live and duet.. if I wanted to give a presentation and my presentation is on a powerpoint, would the powerpoint be reflected in the teleprompter correctly (i.e. not the text and images mirrored and i.e. illegible?)
