I made this recipe for my Ghanaian husband. He's so shocked I made this. It was delicious! He went on and on about it. He attempted, and I say attemted because he just told me he burnt it. He attempted to make peanut soup twice. And twice I wanted a divorce!! LOL. I couldn't understand, I love peanuts and peanut better. But when my husband cooked it, it's smell would trigger me. He no longer heated up peanut butter in our home. When I made this soup, he asked if I browned the peanut butter. I told him no, and hurried to explain (repeating what you said in this video) that I made sure the peanut butter was cooked through, so that it wouldn't give stomach problems. He was impressed. I kept telling him I found the recipe on RU-vid, but he wants to believe I freestyled the soup. I won't argue with him, more points for me!❤😂
I found this recipe in a book at my school library and chose to make it for my 6th grade project. Everyone in class absolutely loved it and I got an "A+". I'm 43 now and have thought about this soup many times throughout the years but could never remember the recipe nor the book I found it in. Thank you sooo much for this video. I can finally make this soup again and keep this recipe. I'm actually making it right now, bless you sweet friend!
So blessed to have a Ghana restaurant at the mall, I never would have know about this miracle dish! I will continue to patronize while I am at the mall, but going to keep this to make at home!
Oooo I'm gonna try this method as I cook my peanut butter with hot pepper, tomato puree and onion till oil settles on the surface before pouring it on the steamed protein then I add the veggies in the soup, bring it out after about 20mins to grind n seive it into the soup before adding hot pepper for those who want extra hotness... thanks Sweet Adjeley, I'm gonna try this quick method
just joined your channel; I am tucked away in the french pacific and I am feeling for our authentic "groundnut soup" with boiled rice so I am going to prepare this! The way this tin has come my tongue top for about a week now so if I don't satisfy my cravings I am going to go crazy. Anyway, I am going to use rabbit meat as my protein source. Cheers.
Thanks for this, and I make this all the time, and this is the first video that I've seen on RU-vid that does it so well. Happy scrumptious eating, and this goes so well with fufu.
I watched your mozzarella cheese video and I saved it too but somehow it got deleted. I'm searching that on your channel but couldn't find it. Would you please help me to find that video because that was the best recipe l've seen. Plzzzzzzz
walija abbasi awwww🥰🤗I’m working on another one, people were not getting it right, I guess I didn’t explain it well enough and I don’t want people to waste their money in these hard times, so I thought it wise delete and make a more explanatory one😔I’m sorry
I'm from S.E Asia and just discovered African dishes and wanted to try this dish. But mine turned out very pale and sad looking. I'm used to sauteeing all the aromatics and spices first before adding the protein. This is still very new to me. And my fufu was also a disaster.
@Adjeley b3 you have come again with your trouble.... I was craving for this n trying to talked myself out of it. Then from nowhere bam here comes u 😏🙄. I'm off to the market... Hugs n love to u hun 🥂
I dont know how I feel about peanut butter in what seems to be a savory/umami dominant dish. I want to try fufu so bad, but I want to find a stew that'll satisfy my palate (salty, sour, bitter, smoky preferences). Don't get me wrong, I love peanut butter, it's just that it's so sweet, and my palate changed drastically almost 3 years ago.
This soup recipe does look good, however it would look and be more appetizing if you would have simmered the chicken whole for 1!/2 hour to make a nice broth and tender chicken that is then removed from the broth to be boned and cut into smaller parts. Strain the broth then return to the pot along with the boned chicken and your other ingredients.
it could be easier to eat that way but i have never seen anyone in Ghana debone the chicken. that could be why she didnt do it. but im sure if you make it and try it it would taste really good
OMG!!Sweety your soup has potrude and entered my house ooo everywhere is smelling gbush gbush as for me am serving with some hot banku 👌👌you do all sweetitintins ❤❤😍😘
I’m an American married to a Ghanaian man and this recipe has really elevated my Ghanaian cooking skills. I deviated once and he refused to eat it. Now I have it saved. Also your voice is soothing during this stressful learning period
To me, it is just your voice that matters the most. It has such an amazing natural crispy appeal even far more than your fantastic cuisines. Your voice could wow listens if you were into radio/television broadcasting. It is so soft, gentle and soothing to admit. .which is why I often watch your vids.
Yes she's Ghanaian and trust me there are more and more of them than this now don't get me wrong cuz am not tryna put down sweet at all and not saying she sounds seductive but most of the youths does and be ware u don't get fooled by the youngsters of Ghana both men and women when u happen to visit sometime cuz they're low-key dangerous majority of them are seducers❤😂
Please you used the canned grandnut paste but those of us who buy the one they sell in rubber in the market and we pour it in a saucepan stir on till we see oil at the top of the grandnut paste can we decide to stop and do the simple one you did the one you poured water in it and stired it to get the texture you want or is only for the canned grandnut paste. Please I making sense I want to know .Thank you
Sweet Adjeley hello, first of all I really like your it just inspires me a lot so thank for the good recipes. Also, I wanted to ask how do you get hard chicken in the us if you’re in the us.
Christa Ongouya 🥰🤗Thank you, they have some poultry farms around, I have to go to Newark NJ to get it, google poultry farm near me, the usually have soft, medium and hard😊
