We wanted to make a fold-up Innistrad playmat for one of our zombie deck's. So we decided to make a giant tome that becomes a graveyard playmat.

This is incredible! I would love to see an Eldraine storybook as I think it would be a perfect fit, but the dark theming you’ve gone for has won me over!

@@silverscalegames I’m glad you think so. If you’re looking for a commander to build it around maybe Chulane, Teller of Tales? Or Gorion, Wise Mentor, not technically Eldraine but it is adventure/storybook themed. Alternatively, the previews for Wilds will start next week, maybe there will be some inspiration there.

@@silverscalegames for the extra lore points, there is a book called Tales of the Fae in Eldraine that is referenced on the flavour text for some of the cards. It seems to contain a lot of the stories that happen in Eldraine

You are making projects that fall excellently into the overlap of my nerdy interests. I loved to see the figures added into this one. The puddles in the mud added a lot too. Might we see a Kaldheim build at some point?

This is fantastic fellas. I love how it all came together and your video was informative, yet not an hour long to be so. Was it hard getting cards out of the graveyard? Looked like no room or any way to pull them out. Perhaps a headstone with a ribbon underneath that would allow you to pull it up and bring all the cards with :D

Super awesome! My only complaint if I had to play with it is the rough textures and worrying about my card backs getting damaged or rubbing my forearms on it. Maybe could use a clear epoxy coat over the top?

Very cool but I definitely think you should have went full on Nerdforge and used dyed leather for the outside of the book. I also think I personally would need more space to play on. Really love what you guys do though man, it's very creative.

Amazing build for an innistrad themed play mat in the innistrad set there is a legendary artifact called grimoire of the dead this reminded me of it with the whole tome and zombies theme you guys did. Also I love to see an Eldraine themed playmat the knights and castles would be an amazing theme.

I wonder if you could "seal" the battlefield with clear apoxy in order to give a flat playing surface while still having all the details underneath. It might make it too heavy though.

Quick question! Do your metal top loaders come with a protective clear front, like on the face of the card? Or does it simply protect the back and sides? Sorry, I’ve tried to figure it out by watching all your videos, but I just want to make sure!

It doesnt have a plastic front. You put in an already sleeved or double sleeved so it just ads that extra bit of protection. Also they look wicked!

so far it has been ok, I put a bit of PVA in the mix which I have heard makes the plaster a bit less brittle but I can't say for sure.

@@silverscalegames Sculptamold might be worth looking at, pretty sure Gordon Harris have it. It's basically plaster w/ cellulose fibre, so it holds itself a bit more and lets you play with it. Or you can DIY it with a power drill, a sacrificial roll of toilet paper and a brass-wire brush. No good for skim coats, but it's a bit more workable and for applications like building up around the grave it may last longer

Unfortunately these are not for sale, it was made as a one of thing. Maybe one day we can redesign it to make it manufacturable at scale. It is something we are considering

it is not actually that rough and with the soft static grass i think the scratching would be super minimal
