You seriously can't beat homemade bacon, once you make it yourself, you won't buy it from the supermarket ever again!
As mentioned in the video, here's the homemade bacon cure I used. Always make sure to follow the instructions on your curing salt packet!
The below recipe is per 500g of pork belly:
- 1/4 teaspoon of curing salt
- 1 tablespoon of white sugar
- 3/4 tablespoon of kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of cracked black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
