ANNOUNCEMENT The Beat Maker's Toolbar is now open indefinitely. I closed the toolbar temporarily after launch because I wanted to give myself some breathing room to help out new users in case they had trouble setting it up. I planned on bringing it back early next year, but since closing, I have gotten a TON of requests to reopen it now; you guys have loved the toolbar! So then, as of today, the toolbar is once again open, but this time forever! Remember that with every purchase, you receive the toolbar itself along with priority email support and free LIFETIME updates. As always, thanks so much for your time and support! Pick up the toolbar here: geni.us/BeatMakersToolbar -Ivan Calderon
@@satched Absolutely. Once you lay down the initial scale you can change the notes to accommodate your own needs. With that said though, I'll be adding the Phrygian and Lydian modes in the next update later this week!
As always...a quality contribution from one of our community's best assets. The macro subsystem is a huge benefit of S1, had version 5 had a toolbar like this included, I would not still be on ver 4. Thanks Ivan, I'm working with your toolbar now and I can already tell its probably the best 10 bucks I've spent on production tools yet. It is well thought through and your support videos are helpful. BTW, your demo video is a good look at a creation process in general...I hope you do more focused on what people can do with your toolbar and the other macro features in S1.
I really appreciate your kind words! I hope you enjoy the toolbar and absolutely, I will definitely be doing more videos using it and exploring macros more in-depth!
I am late to the game lol. This is so much help for streamlining work flow. I also have Scaler but I can see using them together. I am so glad I found your video, you just got another subscriber! You are the man bruh!
Once again Ivan, you've done it!!!! You and Gregor are helping many newbies and old skoolers with understanding the power of Studio One. Great Video and this toolkit is highly recommended - I'm getting it right now!!!!
Super helpful! I relate to you on a whole other level man. Bearmaking is the only reason why I switched to Studio One from Logic Pro X, since it makes life 100x easier with Impact XT and these macros just make the whole process a cakewalk.
Hugely impressed with the creativity applied to the macros here. Just bought it to show my support for your channel. Just discovered you and been watching and learning quite a bit. keep it up!
I recently got this software, watched some pre introduction how to's, and then been putting alot of time practicing on my own to get the feel of everything. Now expanding my knowledge, this was very helpful, thank you! 👌🙏♠️
Hey Ivan, you have been a great help with your S1 videos. Just curious what your computer is. Mac or PC? do you do all your video editing on it as well? How does it handle heavy tasks? I ask because I have a PC but I'm thinking of switching to MAC M1 Mini. The main reason being, the Mac is quiet and I find the fan noise from my PC very annoying when producing.
This is so clutch for a FL Studio owner transitioning to Studio One 5. I will subscribe and support you. Gonna buy this toolbar when I get Studio One within the next week. Question. Will I be able to add to the toolbar once I purchase it. Or it stays as you made it?
Thanks for the sub! And yea you can definitely edit the toolbar if you wish although my I do have to warn about editing macros. Some are a bit complex and moving things around can cause things to stop working.
The only macro I want is drum and claps and create hi hats, do you sell macros like loosie newport cigs lol. I don't want to pay for something I'm not using/. updated my apologies for the previous comment, i realized how offensive that ould have been, 5-13-22 do you offer one on one session? I want to learn how to do macros that's acustom to my needs
interested in strum macro for guitar midi I'm disabled with use of only one hand so click, ctrl, alt Not an option so looking for macro if possible.thanks for tutorial God Bless
Hey! Ivan I am New at making beats, so I'm still trying to decide what DAW I should get for my home Pre-production set up. I need to know if I can definitely connect my Yamaha PSR-E443 Keyboard ,Akai mpd26 drum pad and my ION USB,Turntable for sampling inside the Presonus, software? Because I had kept my Keyboard just in case I need someone to play the keys for me & I'm using a fully loaded MacBook pro Mid 2012, a Scarlett 2i2 2nd generation audio interface & a pair of KRK Classic Rokit 5 G3 monitors & I'm only trying to learn MPC Beats because it's free.& I'm still debating if............ I want to spend $400 on the professional version of the presonus software when my rent is $425 a month.
Yo bro I brought that tool bar last year I was wondering if you did a video on the new update yet ima about to download it now I think you should do a update video if you haven't already
purchases producer pack today 7/4/24 templat and toolbar I'm disabled on use of right hand want to do stuff with Presence xt guitar, but need strummer macro for 6 strings is it possible to make one I can't use the alt/shift hold/move feature with one hand TIA God Bless You and Yours
I want to like this but I can't get past the fact that you used an inverted 7 and called it a 2 chord, with no explanation. What do you use for your 7 chords in the major scale?
I replaced the diminished chords in the major and minor scales with inverted chords. Diminished chords are useful but not often used in modern commercial music. You bring up a good point, however. I’ll make sure to label those specific inversions and add back the diminished as a stand alone chord to give the user more options on the next update. Thanks.
I assume you could do something similar if you have an Elgato Stream Deck? I have been using S1 for 2 years and I did not know about macros. Thank you!
Absolutely, I do this all the time! Simply bind a macro to a keyboard shortcut and then bind that keyboard shortcut to a stream deck button. That way you can activate the macro via the stream deck if you don’t want to press the digital button in S1.
Hello Ivan! just wanted to point out that on the Toolbar on the Time & Velocity group in the quantize note length, the 1/8 note actually shoes as 1/18. Thanks for all you do
Kind of cool but I prefer to play my piano for chords and melodies. Now if they had a portamento aka slide control like FL I would be happy. I don’t like fl but I am jealous of that as well as there clean way of dropping the sample rate that sounds like avid lofi.

@@ImIvanCalderon Perfect! Just bought it. You might want to think of keeping it open longer as the YT algorithm just showed me this video yesterday. Thx ✌🏻👊🏻

Happy belated birthday! And yea it’s currently closed but it’ll be back on sale soon. For now make sure to sign up here geni.us/BeatMakersToolbar so you know when it does!
I’m so confused at how you have a drum kit laid out on the piano roll tho. I’m using the komplete m32 keyboard. When i make a new pattern it won’t let me lay drums out like that. I would have to go to impact and make a pattern. I want to find a way to work without maschine software. Getting plugins in key to not play wrong notes is the issue i have workin in studio one
Laid out like what exactly? I basically just have drum one shots placed on each Impact Pad and then have that saved as a template so every time I open up Studio One it's ready to go. For drums on Impact though, you do have to open up a MIDI region on an Impact Track, it won't work anywhere else. For playing actual notes on the piano roll in key and not mess up, you can just set the key you want on the left of the piano roll and that will lock in your notes. If you have the toolbar then you can also of course have it create scale notes for you automatically as shown in the video.

@@ghostxtempzz115 Not at the moment, unfortunately. Those kinds of things are strickly up to PreSonus to implement but I am already thinking of moving a few things around for the next update to make it a bit more compact for smaller screens!
