No doubt. That DR5 drum machine is all I’ve ever known. The boys back in the day wanted me to expand to an mpc 2000, but I was too ignorant, young, and broke to even consider it. As long as folks were impressed and amazed at what they heard when they saw what I was working with, I was good livin in delusion. By the time I wised up. Life do what it do, introduce new priorities and distractions that left me with a lot of coulda’s and shoulda’s. Decades later, here I am. Sprung for MPC live 2 since the desire to create has never left, even though them days and the path are long gone. Your vids have helped me get outta my comfort zone a little. Still using it like a beat machine with factory sounds and at best may tweak it or add fx. But it definitely isn’t being used as a sampler right now. Your other Reaper vids got me to mess with mixing. Jury is out on that, don’t thlnk I’m cut out to mix. I shouldn’t be displeased with how my track sounds every step of the way. Even if it sounds balanced, it doesn’t sound like I intended and that was how it sounded before I started messing with stuff. Lol Anyway, I’ll be taking you up on some of them courses (Skype the only option? Zoom?). I may not be going anywhere with my tracks, but I want my monies worth and best experience possible with what I have.

The person that tries to avoid this and just ask questions and watch videos will find themselves behind on everything.
