Great project!. What's the maximum power you can draw from it? Also, two suggestions. 1) You can use a multiturn potentiometer for accurate and fine adjusting. 2) And adding a 24v cooling fan will make the project even better.
@@Comrade_YG Noctua fans are pretty quiet. I use them on my 3d printer. Factory fans would run you out of the room, hardly hear the Noctua fans running.
I was having an idea that smd rework station has an adjusting knob for fan and temp control It delivers voltage upto 24 v Why can't we use it to make variable bench power supply If you can make one It is a totally different project no one has ever done
Your welcome.. I think you can but it is not recommendable since you might over voltage it. It is better to use a similar battery when powering devices like laptop and phones
I used transformer 9 0 9 5408 diode in my xl4015 module. Now it shows 23 volts but after loading it becomes 9 volts, why is this happening? And what to do.
@@VINInvents That's good. I'm also upgrading my old power supply, an LM317 with a 2n3055 booster. But I will be using the XL4016E1, XH-M401. The one with the potentiometer included.
@M.D. Suave: The LM2596 has a DC input range of 3,2V to 35V. This can be used to install any other component with a much lower voltage. Like for example, a 12v fan for extra cooling.
can i use 12v as input supply? i have 12v switching supply. Also, can I connect two buck convertor to single power supply as to get a dual output supply
a 12-0-12 should give you 24 volts ac, run that through a bridge rectifier with a capacitor and that is 24x1.4= 33.3 volts dc. the limit of the XL4016 is 36 volts so you should be ok.
The datasheet of xl4016 says it's capacity is 8 Ampere and recommended load is upto 5 Amperes. So , how much max load current can actually be drawn and will it be used with the heatsink that's already fixed on this board or extra large heatsink or cooling fan needed if we draw upto 3 Ampere or even 5 Amperes ?
Dear good sir. Thanks for the video, it's really nice. I ordered the exact same parts as shown in the video but i have one question: is the extra fuse necessary? If yes, are 10A enough? Or should i rather use 16A (I'm from Germany and we have 230V and up to 16A from the wall). I think there is a fuse on the dc2412, but not sure. Thanks!
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I would love any help you can offer me.
@Aries Sterling thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
hello sir I have a 12v 30A smps i want to make a adjustable power supply 2v-30v, i have two different options with two module 1: use 150w step up dc converter for reach 30v and then use 300w step-down dc converter for adjust voltage. 2: use both modules separately, it's mean 150w step-up dc converter for above 12v range and 300w step-down dc converter for below 12v range which on is better or maybe both are bad idea?
I actually use the first method. In case you need more power, combine 2 150w boosters in order to match your buck converter. The second method seems to be inconvenient (in my taste)
This is a good lab bench power supply but I have to tell you that you can't use it as very good lab bench power supply as the voltage increases very fast.
@@mohitsolanki2426: So was i. I built one with the exact components and used the 10k 3590S-2 103L precision multi-turn potentiometers I mentioned in my previous comment. And i use it every single day as a lab bench power supply.
Can you make it and send it to me please how much is totally with courier charges I will pay you please let me know and send me the price of power supply please
Can I solder a normal 100 kOhm resistor to a 100 kOhm multiturn potentiometer in order to get to 200 kOhm? Can't find a 200 kOhm multiturn potentiometer! My step up booster uses the 3296-1-204w trimmpot
@@VINInvents I know. But I have to use a 200k ohm potentiometer as a replacement. I would like to use a multiturn potentiometer but can't find one with 200k ohm only with 100k ohm.
@@GreenFart174 ohh okay well I haven't tested if its possible and I dont have multiturn potentiometer.. You can test it for yourself if you want and update me
