Can you do a comparison video on timing the market while using dollar cost averaging? Example you put $500 in your Roth every month until the market is down 5% or 10% from the highest point. Once that marker occurs you put down your yearly maximum and next year continue dollar cost averaging until The market is once again down 5% or 10% from maximum.

Thanks for the question! I actually already have done a video covering a very similar topic to what it sounds like you're asking. The title of the video is "Should You Wait to Invest For A Crash?" In it I looked at how an investor putting $100 a month away would do if they invested consistently vs if they put their money into a money market fund earning interest until the stock market dropped by a certain amount (in the video I used 20%). At that point they put whatever money they had stashed away into the market. If the market remained low enough (i.e. at least 20% down from prior highs) they would continue putting their monthly $100 into stocks. If not they would go back to stashing money in the money market fund awaiting the next opportunity to buy low. It turned out that timing the market usually resulted in a lower net worth than investing consistently. For a full explanation you can check out the video for yourself: Should You Wait to Invest For A Crash - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eQIo3bVlE6M.html&ab_channel=NextLevelLife Hope this helps!

👍 Excellent video. Working on buying a property to use as a rental and avoiding these will go a long way. I've got to be open to as many options as I can and not be overconfident. For my personal scenario I especially like the bookending strategy which I've been doing when I analyze potential properties to make sure it'll still be profitable even in a worst case scenario.
