What is bias tape & how do I use it?
Bias Tape, sometimes called bias binding, is a long narrow strip of fabric cut on the fabric's bias. The bias is the 45-degree angle across the fabric's weave, hence the name - Bias Tape.
Bias Tape is commonly used to finish garment edges, such as around armholes or necklines. It can also be used for the edges of quilts, placemats, bibs and sew much more!
Bias Tape can be purchased as a readymade item from Fabricland, but when you need a specific print or colour to coordinate with your project, you can create it yourself.
