• ASMR Candied Strawberr...
Ingredients to make the hard candy mixture:
1/4 cup water
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup corn syrup
Bring it to 150c (using a candy thermometer)
If you dont have one, its usually around 12-15 min from the boiling point. You can always test it by taking some and drizzle it in cold water, if its hard that means its ready!

For those who don’t have a candy thermometer, the stage you want is called “hard crack” (really!) Drop a spoonful of the hot syrup into cold water, then remove the candy from the water and attempt to bend it. If your syrup has reached the hard-crack stage, it will form brittle strands in the water and crack as you bend it.

I made mine without a thermometer. It was easy. Whenever I mixed it with a little spoon I’d lift some out and let it drip off the spoon. If it stiffens and not fall down into the pot it’s ready. Then just bite the string of sugar and if it’s crunchy enough for you it’s ready. For everyone who doesn’t have a thermometer and don’t want to buy one.

I'm doing this as we speak Update: Finished😁. If you're doing this without the thermometer thing, just take it off the stove as it starts to boil. I let them dry (I had to try a fan😅) they were hard, not very sticky and they tasted amazing!!! Everybody should try this😁😝 P.S. doesn't work well with kiwis 🙃

You are right, thank you for warning us. Sugar can be very dangerous when it is hot, it's not like boiling water, it retains heat more and causes severe burns if contact is made with your skin.

Okay guys, I tried this. And it worked but the thing is that I burned mine and it tasted so bad. Btw when you are done costing the fruits, WASH THE POT RIGHT AFTER with HOT WATER. Because I didn't do that and know the syrup is sticked hard to my pan. I burnt mine and it tastes so bad the thing is dont let your syrup turn into a gold or red looking color, it should be a kinda clear color like in this video. If it does that turn it off and start coating your fruits. I promise you guys it would actually taste good if I didn't burn it. I learned my lesson and next time I know how to do it.😊 BTW I 100% recommend this!!!

Drop a spoonful of the hot syrup into cold water, then remove the candy from the water and attempt to bend it. The first time I handled candy syrup I dropped a dollop on my thigh and it BURNED LIKE HELL. Like you couldn’t even get it off so you’d have to feel the excruciating pain as it drips down your skin. Be super careful with it you guys!

looks pretty simple and easy! For those in the states, KARO is the brand of corn syrup. Make sure to buy the light one. (There's a dark one too that most use for pecan pie and pancakes)
