[Needle felting basic technique video] How to make cat ears
Introduce how to make cat ears made of wool felt.
In this video, the main method is to create the most basic shape.
When making cat ears, the most difficult thing is to make two identical shapes.
It doesn't go well at first, but every time you practice, you get a sense, so let's make it fun!

When I saw your cats ears for the first time, they looked so realistic I couldn't imagine that you have used the felting needle to make them so perfectly thin. So I tried the wet felting technique for creating my cats and dogs ears and it worked very well. For the finish (cleaning the edge, placing the longer hair and creating the ears unique pattern) I used the felting needle. Thank you very much for sharing your great skills and for inspiring me to level up my own skills.

@@pouponcrazycat5987 Thx for the tip but the already made felt i found was either strong and stiff enough but way too thick or it was perfectly thin (1 mm or less) but not stiff enough. Lady Wakuneco once said that she uses for the ears a wool called "Lanvier" (that's what the Japanese/Engl translation-tools said) but i was not able to find any wool or fibre-type with that name in google. So, the search for the perfect wool type goes on because i'm not happy anymore with my wet felted ears, they have to be better ...next i will try Camel- and Yak-Wool, hope one of them is the right one for me. Sorry for my english and again thanks for the tip. Maybe you know what "Lanvier" means?

I lost my loving Sugar cat last year. I still have her pics but watching this made me cried. I missed her a lot and seeing her through the old pics wasn't enough for me. I wish I had a talent so I can make a model of my baby so I could pet her again. Btw, you did such an amazing job. That kitty looks exactly like my baby Samie ( my current cat)

How many microns of wool should be used to make a kitten's head? I tried it with a 19.5 micron merino thin, but it’s too soft, too thin to make kitten hair. What kind of wool should I buy and where? Thanks for the tips!

When I make flat shapes, the wool pokes through the other side and gets caught in the brush - do I just need to keep going on both sides to fix it? Thank you so much for your videos!
