In this video I show you how to make CBD oil in a crockpot. This recipe is a simple recipe that requires a few extra kitchen tools, but overall is very basic. The recipe today includes:
1 Cup MCT oil
28g (1oz) of CBD hemp flower yorkriver.weeb...
That is it! Its so simple! You can replace the MCT oil with Olive oil or Hemp seed oil if you desire a different carrier oil.

Good recipe but just a word of warning for people using ultra dry flower: don't go straight for 250deg/30min in oven, it turned the sample I tried black. You can undercook then cook a bit more but obviously you can't do anything once you've overcooked. Maybe play around with a few samples first as you can potentially ruin your whole batch here. I found that 250deg/12min, then sit/cool for a further 10min in the hot glass pyrex dish (foil lid with single hole in the middle) was fine. Nice dark green / brown colour is what you want.

@@YorkRiverCannabis Is this a reason why the silicon tray assembly would work better than the ground products on the hot pyrex ??? I imagine any releasing gas in the pan would help soften the cook. Having rolled over tin foil is not really a sealing means. The hot gases will escape faster correct. Good advice to weed color check and stir/lightly shake every 10 minutes then. Differing moisture contents of dried weed will definitely make a diff. Correct ?. I take it the brown we want is more of a light to medium darkness.

Hi! After watching this I made the CBD oil and it came out perfect! Better than some of the stuff I ordered online. The glove worked out too, I'm grateful you showed it, I wouldn't have thought to buy it. I used a nut milk bag and it worked out. So I made actual cbd oil from my stems and clipping and turned out great. Now I'm using only flower and the sugar leaves BTW I'm a noob at this and your video got me going especially because of the crock pot it's one of my favorite tools in the kitchen. That being said you say MCT oil is the best bonding agent and I know you were promoting the brand but it took me weeks to figure out where to find MCT LOL apparently it's a supplement at your local wellness or GNC (another plug lol). So I have two 32oz Mason jars of decarbed goodness (basically 8ooz a jar) ready to rock, I want to dump both jars into 2 separate 2.5 quart crock pots. What amount of oil should I use to get maximum bang for my buck so to speak? BTW im making these for tomorrow night

Because you have to activate the thc .. you know how you burn the weed when smoke to get high instantly it’s the same thing when you decarb

A separate decarb step at the proper temperatures ensures that all of the cannabinoids present decarb fully, whereas when you cook it separately it could possibly unevenly decarb and not be as potent as it could be

I used stems with shea butter and a crockpot but I didn’t decarb. Been doing it this way for years. I use it for my back pain and I instantly feel great. I will try his way and see if it makes a difference.

The cherry strain I grew the dried bud. Still currently curing is dense and dank!!! People can't tell the difference. They think it's weed haha did you grow indoors or outdoors? What kind of nutrients? Soil etc

Question do you have to pay for a processing license if your farm makes they're own oil if you have the farming license to grow it? The oven allows the gas to escape at a higher temp. If you cook the oil to hot you will burn it and make it rancid.

Would it be alright to use regular unrefined coconut oil to do this, the only "issue" being that it would harden below 76 degrees after the cooking process?

Fractionated coconut oil. You can get small bottles, a gallon or a drum of it online. That's what I use. It's stripped of any scents. Its an MCT oil made from coconut. I always add lecithin too.

Hi. Thanks for a great video, going to be trying this for pain relief, 2 questions for a complete newb making CBD oil (lots of experience of smoking it for relief) if you don't mind. 1. When you say flower, do you mean bud or leaf. 2. What type of dosage do you need for pain relief? All the terminology goes over my head, I bought medical grade cannabis oil and want told the disagree, went from being crazy high and sleeping most of the day dose to feeling mild relief dose. Flowers are the bud, and dosage varies so much on tolerance and potency so can't really recommend a specific amount. The great thing about CBD is that you really can't go to over board.

Can get dropper bottles off of ebay and etsy as well. I like using plastic syringes to get tincture/oil into the bottles, they have the numbers on the side, so 30ml brown dropper bottle will have exactly 30ml of tincture/oil, isn't messy to get into the bottles, very easy and quick. I get those off ebay.

@@williamlock2984 I have used a crock pot with lids for a long time in the kitchen. The sealed lid when applied always seams to create steam within the crock pot. I have heard that you definitely do not want to mix H20 with your oil. This I am told will increase the potential for bacteria growth in the oil during storage. I will be cooking mine with a piece of cheese cloth over same as an atmospheric filter. My 2cents.
