To this day, some say the cameraman is still drifting off to the right. Forever getting that B-roll.

Hi why does my potatoes always fall to bits when boiling? Am I boiling them to high? And how long do we boil for x

When you strain minced raw potatoes, do not pour the potato ‘juice’ away, but let it stay in a bowl for few minutes. At the bottom of the bowl potato starch will settle. Carefully pour away the ‘juice’ and then put the starch in to a boiled and raw potatoes’ mix- ‘dough’. This step is very important! If you get no starch at the bottom of the bowl, you must put in shop-bought potatoes starch. About 2 tablespoons for maybe 15 cepelinai. I am not sure why they did not show that starch part in the video, as it is the reason why cepelinai disintegrating in the water while boiling. Boil on medium for about 25-30 mins. Good luck! Did you know that first sunday of February (next w/end) is an International Cepelinai Day?

Usually 60 percent of potatoes are raw, grated, and 40 percent cooked and mashed before making dough.

When you strain the potatoes you should be left with some starch at the bottom of the bowl with all the liquid . Use that whilst molding the cepelinas , it should help it keep it’s shape when it comes to boiling it. It may also be the type of potato you use
