I have the same boost converter, but the current adjustment doesn't seem to work. I turn the knob clockwise and anti-clockwise but the current reading does not change. Tried it with an LED strip, a 12V 110amp battery and a car tire inflator.
@theinnovati0nlab782
@theinnovati0nlab782 Год назад
I am not sure why it didn't work for the LED strip. However, for the 12V batteries, you need to first raise the output voltage to be higher than 12V. Personally, I used about 14V for my 12V battery charging. The voltage level also depends on the battery type. In order for current to flow in your charing circuit (from charger to battery), there needs to be a potential difference between the charger output voltage level and the battery's nominal voltage level. EXAMPLE: IF Battery voltage = 12V Charger voltage = 12V Charging Current = 0A Reference videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5EQs9_Cu7xo.htmlsi=4ow9ox8i3Rqxlv8M ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WDWJ77WWkXc.htmlsi=jAwV9l7As0kQOMrp I hope this helps. @@theinnovati0nlab782 Before charging battery I set boost voltage to 14V, but battery didn't draw more than 5amp, despite turning the CC adjustment screw, charging current remained constant. Any idea why CC is not working?

Sir I want to drive 48 volt dldc 1000w motor rickshaw through this booster with 12 volt battery. Will it work well with this booster? Sir help me with correct information

Thank you for watching this video and supporting The Innovati0n Lab. My recommendations will be that you try getting the 1500W model of this boost converter and doing a thorough drive testing of your motor with it. Also, since you will be driving a 1000W motor with a 12V battery, I will highly recommend using cooling fans on the boost converter unit. Also keep in mind that driving a 1000W load with from a 12V battery means greater than 83A drawn from your battery and this does not even account for losses due to converter efficiency....can your 12V battery handle a constant draw of >83A? Personally, I will recommend using 24V battery if possible.

Can we charge a 48v lithium battery pack using this setup
@theinnovati0nlab782
@theinnovati0nlab782 2 года назад
Thanks for watching the video. Yes, you should be able to. Just make sure you pay attention to the specified charging current and voltage of your battery pack. If you built the pack yourself, what type of cells are you using and how many do you have in series?

Is it want Automatic Cut off Controller Protection like realy
@theinnovati0nlab782
@theinnovati0nlab782 Год назад
This system doesn't have automatic cut-off control. However, if you set your battery charging voltage correctly, the boost converter will go into trickle charge mode when your battery is fully charged. Please let me know if that answers your question.

GREAT VIDEO!!!!! a couple' comments from my experience with just such a setup: 1) A SMALL variac can be used on the transformer primary since there is SMALL current here (most will even step up the 120VAC from 0V to 140VAC. 2) I NEVER turn this type of potentiometer ALL the way down, as many are unstable at the extreams and can cause serious problems (turn it all the way, THEN twist a tiny bit back). 3) For the filter caps of a full wave bridge rectifier, a nice rule is that you will get one volt of ripple per amp per 8300uF (I like to use 10,000uF for this rule). You will need twice as much capacitance with half-wave rectification).

Why don't you make it with Solar Panel
@theinnovati0nlab782

Great idea 💡 The only issue is that the constant current boost converter we used in that video does not work well as a solar charge controller. Please check the video below. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4RfOrXcBvOY.html

Well connect Solar panel 575 watts to a Solar Controller , Controller to the Battery to the Booster Circuit, instead of a External. I have added 500 watts Solar panel directly to Booster Controller and then to the Battery Bank.Perfectly working . Instead of an MPPT.

@minravex9919 Please, always resist the temptation of becoming an internet bully or troll. The world can always use more respectful people. Keep your comments constructive. You can get your point across without being rude and condescending to RU-vid content creators. These videos take time, resources, and lots of effort to put together. We provided a good explanation of the concept, provided rectifier schematics, provided testing, what else do you need from a free video? Please, if you have a question, I will encourage you to ask it in a constructive and positive manner. Negativity and pessimism do not help anyone.

Pls sir these rectifiers are they transistors and why use 3 capacitors thanks
@theinnovati0nlab782
@theinnovati0nlab782 Год назад
@papinoye3345 Those are common cathode rectifiers. They essentially have 2 diodes inside them - with the cathodes (rectifier +ve) of the two diode connected internally to the center pin. The middle pin is also electrically connected to the heatsink pad at the back of the rectifier. The capacitors are used for output filtering.

Your comment to this valuable video shows lack of VERY basic knowledge. All you had to do was find a simple BASIC beginner's video (they're EVERYWHERE) on a linear supply...then you wouldn't even need to comment. @@minravex9919
