Clap!, Clap!, Clap! Bravo! What an excellent teacher you are. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, especially for the Newbies out here like me. I made a bracelet for my wife but wanted to learn to make a clasp. I came to the right place. Again Thank you, I appreciate you. Angel from The Bay Area, CA 08-11-23

So clear, thanks. Especially like your pointers on how to reshape and adjust, some natural 'pause points' where you can survey your work and fine-tune the shape, before you're completely locked into the final form.

I’m pretty sure I’m inspired to try a similar design for my wife’s Christmas present. Excellent use of words, video angle, and unique twists. Thanks again!!

@@rmvicary4215 I like Lindstrom and Tronex for everything but round-nose pliers. For the round-nose pliers I have a pair from years and years ago, unknown brand, but very sturdy.

Thanks so much for your videos. They let me know that I don't need to buy all of the fancy pricey tools to make things. I've recently started kumihimo and buying clasps and cones can get pricey. Making my own will add an additional personal touch to my pieces. I hope it's as easy as you make it look :-) I'm subscribing.

Hi angiedj62, I am glad you enjoyed the video! It's a lot of fun to make clasps. Don't worry if you have troubles at first; I don't always get things right the first time either. :) Just practice and enjoy!

I love this video, too! However, i have a question. Will the 18 gauge wire stay in shape? I know I've had silver wire that stretches out, but I've never worked with the copper wire.
@beadedjewelrydiva
@beadedjewelrydiva 8 лет назад
Hi Jean -- 18 gauge will stay in place if you don't have a lot of tugging on your piece. If you do anticipate any tugging or plan to use with heavy pieces, then I suggest a little bit of work hardening on the clasp prior to attaching it to your project. I hope this helps! :)

I make miniature mugs out of clay and want to make pendents out of them. How would you suggest I make a loop on the handle to run a cord through to make a necklace with it. I'm not even sure what to call it lol.

What is the covering you have on your flat nose pliers? It's to protect the wire, but where do I find it? Thanks for this tutorial. I'm just starting on bracelets so I want to be creative with my closures.

Hi Cherry, I have something called "Tool Magic" on my pliers -- here's the video where i talk about it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UCoU5fKM2to.html You can usually find it at one of the craft stores, in the jewelry-making section. If you can't find it locally, Amazon has it, too. :)

Hi there, how many coats of tool magic do you have on your orangey flat nose pliers? My coats always seem to rub off.
@beadedjewelrydiva
@beadedjewelrydiva 6 лет назад
Hi KathyLied, I use two very thin coats of Tool Magic. I do have a video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UCoU5fKM2to.html that shows exactly how slow I coat my pliers. Hope it helps!

Why do you double wrap the "light bulb" clasps?

She said it made the hook more 'finished' . I believe its a lovely variation, also appears 'substantial' to me.
