@Priyanka Utharadhi Very thoughtful question. Actually I could not get Natural clay (Mud) from India, as importing was difficult, hence I had no option but to use something called as 'Air Dry Clay' available here in local stores and also online. This I guess is used for sculpturing in Schools. It took one day to dry and now it's become sort of hard. I think this type of clay will not have issues of developing cracks, at least I hope so......Few days back I had made a test model and allowed it to completely dry. It became very hard but then as test I immersed it in water and I saw that it softened and loosened up completely in 2-3 days. But it is quite expensive compared to Natural clay available in India (about Euro 8.00 for 1kg)

Hi akka. One of the best diy Ganesh tutorials in RU-vid so far. Although I have a doubt.Might be bit silly too. The place where I live, I am able to find only terracotta clay. Is it the same one as that you are using in the video , if not can I use terracotta clay to make my idol? Thank you 😊
