@sofievanherle4570, thanks so much for answering our question! That is a very good point about the jam not falling off. Henceforth we'll be jam first people. :-)
Just made a batch of scones. Wish I'd found this video before I made them. I just added heavy whipping cream to my shopping list. How long does ot last in the refrigerator? Can you freeze it? Can you preserve it? Can you canning it? Thanks so much for posting this!
@melissamiller9448, you are very welcome! Next time you make scones you can make the clotted cream! It can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks. It can be frozen and used within 6 months. Sometimes, freezing clotted cream can affect the consistency of it, the longer clotted cream is frozen, the drier it becomes so using it sooner rather than later is the best option. I guess you could can it but it would be kind of pointless as it needs to be stored in the fridge and the big advantage of canning things is you can store in the cupboard and don't need to store in the fridge. You can't do that with dairy.
Hmmm, it should last in the fridge in a sealed container for up to two weeks! I wonder what could have happened? Did you have it in a tupperware or well-covered?
@DivineMizE, for this method, yes. There is a stovetop method I saw online. You could look that up if you prefer. The oven is on very very low for the 12 hours.
