I was born and raised in Kuwait , presently I am In India , my hometown Kolkata. In India KFC have discontinued Coleslaw because it seems the venture was not profitable for them. I had tried making coleslaw but it never tasted the same like KFC. Luckily I came across your video and sensed this recipe has some weight. I gathered all the ingredients and religiously followed all the steps and kept it for 8 hours ( instead of 12 hours/24 hours as suggested) , it still tastes just the way I seeked for long.. Now me and my parents tasted it , and we feel as if this was an achievement of a kind. Thank you so much , now I am glad I know how to make the coleslaw I was missing for so long. Thanks again. I was a KFC manager 30 years ago and when we would run out of the dressing they would send us we would have to make it from scratch. The only thing I 100% remember was tarragon vinegar, probably because I had a hard time finding it. Try using it instead of the lemon juice. I will have to try your recipe this summer.

I'm from the south and my family has been making cole slaw like this for generations. No one knows how my grandmother came by it, but she taught my aunt and mother to make it this way and its how I make it. It's good to know that others are doing it this way too 🙂👍

I like the way you work, exactly like I do also, I don't waste anything scraping thoroughly. I make coleslaw very similar but usually swap your amounts of mayo and milk and didn't think of putting in fresh lemon juice or onion powder or letting it settle overnight. Am going to try this. Thanks
I just made my coleslaw now and it turned out perfect just like KFC'S , although I did not use the Lemon juice and pepper but it was still yummy. My husband loves it. The more you leave it, the more tasty it becomes. Well done, great job

Exactly like my recipe with just one difference. I add one can of crushed pineapple. It gives it the citrus taste of the lemon juice with a little more sweetness!
looks good may have to try it ,i been making mine super simple for years but yours looks very good as well ( mine is just cabbage,carrots,mayo and a hint of celery salt kept in the fridge for at least 4hrs)

I made, we enjoyed it. I only had a small cabbage on hand, 1 pound. When I blended the cabbage and dressing together, the proportion of wet to dry seemed good. But after only 3 hours in the fridge it got very soupy. I had to pour off some of the dressing, but it tasted good. So, next time I will halve the dressing ingredients for 1 pound cabbage, or use more cabbage.

I usually try to eat it with in 48 hours. It may last longer, but we just eat it up. If you are taking it to a party/bbq, it's best eaten with in 24 hours after serving, unless you keep it well refrigerated through out. 😊
