I have uploaded 5 books and its more then 72 hours but still its under review, is it usual? Can you please a video how was your begining with this KDP program- Regards @@ivyhang5084
Wow! This is a game changer for me! I didn’t know how to make a colored image like the sloth into a black and white one. Thank you so much! I have subscribed for more outstanding tutorials like this one. ❤ SayessDesign
I really, REALLY enjoyed this video. It was completely useful, practical and relevant. Thank you very much for sharing all the process, especially the tips. Please, keep doing this because it's just excellent.
@@ivyhang5084 I'ld like to ask you based in your experience if you consider that, is it possible to publish a hardcover full color journal on Amazon or is it better to print it in China and then sell it on Amazon due to its cost?
@@lavidasegunlabiblia I think either is possible although I would opt for printing by demand via kdp first as printing in China will require you to mass produce before you even made a single sale so the risk is higher.
You are fantastic!! Your voice is so soothing and the information you shared is priceless! You simplified these information amazingly. Thanks a whole lot 🤗 God bless!
Wow! and thanks was looking at subscribing to midjourney but you suggested something that's just Free and simple to make a children's coloring book. Respect
Thanks for sharing your content, It is very informative easy to follow, and clear. Your explanation was very precise. Thanks and looking for your more content.
Great content. New-ish to KDP and just started with low content books. Can we also address the elephant in the room 😉. When does one actually make even a single sale. And what are the chances for a newbie seeing there are like a million other low content books listed? Thankyou for your content
Thanks for your kind comment! Regarding your question- there’s really no specific answer as to when one would make their first sale as it depends on so many factors. For example, whether your niche is in demand/ not too saturated, how your designs compare with your competitors, which keywords you are targeting, whether u are running ads, etc. There is definitely still a very good chance for newbies to make lots of sales - but the key is making your designs stand out and also researching a finding a good niche where there is good demand and not overly saturated. Also, while some people make sales on the first book they put on kdp most do not. The reason is because there is a learning curve too. The more books you create the better your books will be and the better the chance to make sales :)
Your video is amazing, thank you. I have a question about uploading children's books with photo pages. When I convert a children's book with photo pages to pdf and then upload it to kindle it crashes. What is the problem? I work with a windows 10 laptop. Thank you for your helping.😊🙏
You can really make them any size you want. In the past I’ve made them 8.5x11”. You can also check out other colouring books you like on Amazon and see what sizes they are for consideration:)
Hi Ivy, I'm a new subscriber. I really appreciate the content! I have a question about the pixaby images. I was reading the details of use and it seems to say that you can't use any of their images on a physical product. Am I reading this wrong? It states that under their terms you are not allowed : Sale or distribution of Content e.g. as a posters, digital prints, music files or physical products, without adding any additional elements or otherwise adding value. Does rendering it in black and white with the background make it Ok to appear on a physical product? Thank you so much for clarifying!
i just stumble upon your comment and decided to check, using the Content in its original form or solely using a filter, changing colors, resizing or cropping the Content remains Standalone use. so you are right, changing colour to black and white is not okay to sell. using the Content with a combination of images, videos, audio files, other media, text, illustrations, background features and editing techniques is not Standalone use, so long as the combined effect is to make a "new" creative work. you have to at least add some text next to it, like "sloth" or something
Hi Ivy, can you make videos about making planner? I did one planner using the composition journal size, and I'm not sure it's the correct way haha, thanks! your video have helped me alot!
@@ivyhang5084 Yay thanks! i literally just use your all tutorial for my kdp, and your tutorial is the only clearest tutorial on youtube haha. But I found for the Composition Journal interior rule, I use 0.275 Inch for the distance between lines, because I think its the standard?
you are truly a great teacher. Thank you. I just have a question about using canva elements, I have a pro account but I heard that canva can come after you, licensing is very confusing if we use their elements, any thoughts on that?
Thank you for your kind words! I recommend watching my other video here which will explain everything you need to know on what you can and cannot do with canva elements - Create & Sell Your Own Coloring Book: No AI Needed! | Full Amazon KDP Tutorial for Beginners (2024) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--aRDyU-rvEo.html
#NewSub Hi Ivy love, great video and content! Creators-Tip to all creators: It is ILLEGAL to sell Royalty images or Canva images to anyone! If you DID NOT create the designs or images yourself, you can only use these images for commercial/noncommercial/personal use! Selling someone else's designs/creations is ILLEGAL, so guys just please be careful out here in this "Book Creating World". Best Wishes to all.
@@ivyhang5084 Another great video Ivy, thanks! But being new to this KDP publishing scene, I am still learning. So, according to the earlier comment from Mrs. Sherry, we CANNOT use Canva images in a book that is to be published on Amazon KDP? This has got me a little confused, could you please speak about this. Or perhaps make another one of your wonderfully explained videos on this topic. I'm sure there would be other people beginning off on this journey, who would like to be enlightened on what material may be used and what may not. Thanks again for your great videos!
If it’s your first time publishing then I highly recommend you want my step by step video here which shows you how to determine page size and set up margins properly:). To get the ruler go to file >> show ruler and margin. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xfzQwBb8m9U.html
Thanks for your kind comment! To group and ungroup you would highlight the elements that you want to group and then right click and select “group”. Hope this helps!
So, I came across your video, and I will definitely subscribe. You make it look so easy and simple. Love your style of teaching… please tell me what you use to assemble the book. Staples, hot glue. E.t.c thanks
Most images on creative fabrica/ canva are royalty free and can be used for commercial purposes but recommend it’s best to always check before downloading for use in a book :)
Size is really up to your personal preference. What I usually do is take a look at what sizes other similar books are on Amazon kdp to help me decide :)
Thanks for your comment! Feel free to check out my other step by step video which walks through how to publish a book on kdp from scratch - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xfzQwBb8m9U.html Hope this helps!! :)
Thanks for your question - I would recommend watching this video which will teach you all about margins and page sizes and how to get started! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xfzQwBb8m9U.html
Is there any differences in choosing an eBook format? What dimensions should my eBook be? Is there only a front cover, which has the same dimensions as the inside of the book? Thanks 4 your answer 😍
It is up to you how many pages but I’d say over 35 pages would be a good amount. Some people have a lot more and some ppl have less - it’s really up to you :) you can also take a look on Amazon to see how many pages are there in other colouring books for the niche you plan to focus on. Although you should make sure it is at least 24 + pages as that’s the minimum requirement from Amazon.
Unfortunately there is no easy way to just thicken the lines, however, you can check out my latest video here which will show you other easy options on generating coloring pages such as using Chat GPT 4 :) Hope this helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1N-dI6IuVq0.html
So can I do my color page on canva and start doing a coloring video on youtube. Channel without any problem?? Also can I find famous characters? Like paw patrol and so on?
There shouldn’t be any problems. I’m not sure about famous characters though as you may require to get licensing to use those characters for commercial purposes.
Hi Ivy how do I convert my zip to pdf so I can upload my files to canva? By the way I love your videos. Thanks for them they help begiiners like me so much
Thanks for your comment. I would say it depends on your design - because you still want to make sure your key elements will not get cut off, and that's when the margins become handy :)
Hello maybe you would know the answer to this. So I posted my first colouring book and received an error saying they will not publish this book because they found the the following book has content that is not suited for kindle format. What does this mean ? What do I need to change
Do you have more details? Might help diagnose the issue. Could it be because there are certain elements outside of margins? Would also recommend contact kdp support for assistance- they are usually pretty quick to respond :)
Margin size will depend on the size of your book, # of pages, etc. Always check this Amazon link to figure out your margin size. kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/GVBQ3CMEQW3W2VL6 If you are new to Amazon KDP - you can also check out my video here where I explain step by step everything from margins/ book size to publication :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xfzQwBb8m9U.html
Yes but as long as you modify them in some way (ie adding font, background , layering multiple images, etc.). What’s not allowed is taking just one canva image and plopping it on your notebook cover and calling it a day :) the idea is to leverage these canva images to make a unique design that is yours.
