This is a complete step-by-step walkthrough on how to make and publish a coloring book with Midjourney AI.
Midjourney is an incredible tool to create content for your books, and in this video we use AI prompts to create a coloring book. I also go through competition research, creating a cover, formatting your manuscript, and uploading your book to Amazon KDP.

also, for full bleed page, try --ar 85:110 Is more accurate as aspect ratio

I have some series for my coloring books, but am yet to see an uplift in sales when one book is purchases... however, you would think perhaps it will moving forward!

Do amazon gives money on AI generated image books? Do they give 70% royalty or less for this AI generated images? And i have written a book and wanted images from AI applications .. will i get royalty as other non AI users get or i will get less royalty or i won't get anything at all? Just confused? 😢

Good afternoon! Thank you for your video! If I have a paid subscription to Midjourney, then I can use the pictures I create for commercial purposes, right? But, for example, if I have already created several coloring books using Midjourney and put them on Amazon for sale, but after a while I will not have a subscription, do I have the right to sell the already created coloring books on Amazon?

Glad it was helpful! All you need to do is place your own illustrations instead of ai ones. If you can i’d always recommend your own as it’ll be a much better product and much more unique!

What type of paper is used? Can you specify gsm of paper, and single sheets so maybe people could do watercolours and frame individual sheets?

For the black and white interior (from a a quick google) it seems like this - which is the standard, non-changeable Amazon paper: Black ink and 50-61 pound (74-90 GSM) white paper

hello, thanks for these videos. So i use affinity publisher and I can't seem to get my margins right so when I upload it to kdp it tells me I have errors cause my images are outside the margins, using standard 8x11 letter. I just can't seem to get it right in affinity so I can save the template for future use, not doing full page cause that is giving me errors also. any tips or a vod on this would be super helpful

Sorry, I didn't get who prints out the books. I mean - you should consider the paperback price when you set a price or Amazon does itself? Should you order printing or Amazon does it automatically when someone orders the book?

Amazon is print on demand, so they handle all of the printing and shipping for you, but then a percentage of the sale goes to them.

I was watching your material till the moment when you talk about reviews saying about the bad quality of images when you don't disclose your book, and I realised something. So what if your AI coloring book gets bad reviews and people start complaining that it is an AI generated book, people are mostly against it. What will Amazon do then? Till now we haven't experienced any consequences just maybe drops in sales but now it is a different game. What are your thoughts on that?

I'd say probably 50% of the coloring books on Amazon are probably AI generated or assisted in late 2023! They key thing is making sure there's not errors, they're not poor quality, and they're high res. I go through all of those things in this video which will help! Also, whether you spend £2,000 on illustrations or use AI, you could still get a 1 star review and it tank your book... that's all part of the Amazon machine!

How does copyrite/trademark work..I mean..can I create a colouring book of sports athletes? Or team logos? I am going to assume this is not possible or am I wrong?

You use images directly on the cover and manuscript. No modifications. Is there any issue in future?

No, these are unique images that I own the copyright to. If in doubt you can run them through haveibeentrained.com to double check they are completely unique.

These are unique images, that's fine. But i told you that those images you used in your manuscript are directly use in manuscript or cover after creating those images by midjourney. You made no modification. Sorry for my bad english.

what is adobe family? At first i thought you were using illustrator then i saw you use Photoshop. I cant find "pages" in either programs. I even had support try and help me find it. He thinks youre using a completely different program and he told me to use lightroom to create a book. Is that what you used? @@selfpublishingempire

Read the Midjourney terms of service. That's where I've gotten my information from for this video. If using AI from another source, then that companies/softwares terms will apply :)
