For anyone experiencing an issue with this toolkit where the outline of the balloons, sound effects or panels is not showing up, here’s the fix: There is an option in the Actions menu, Prefs tab, called Dynamic Brush Scaling. This is a feature since Procreate 5.2 that allows you to scale the size of the brushes in a different way. That can be useful for some scenarios, but it messes up any kind of dual brushes when it is turned off. And all the brushes in the comic toolkit are dual brushes. Make sure that you have Dynamic Brush Scaling turned on (having it on is the way the brushes always worked in Procreate before 5.2 came out). This should immediately fix the problem you’re experiencing 😊 Feel free to leave a comment if you need any further assistance!
Are these brushes still available,, cause I can’t seem to purchase them, I’m trying to with PayPal but it won’t go through it keeps declining my payment
@@papercrane5351 yes they are. Make sure to contact support@gumroad.com if you're experiencing payment issues, so they can have a look and help you out (there isn't much I can do about that)
The primary and secondary colors on the Easy Panel brush set keep defaulting to primary = white and secondary = black and it won’t let me save the opposite configuration. Please help me correct this.
@@theoriginalsamueljohnson hi, that’s not how the primary and secondary colors work in Procreate. The primary will always be the last one you select, so choose white first and black last. The location of the color rectangles (left or right) doesn’t matter in Procreate
Can I just say again how much I appreciate you creating this toolset for Procreate AND updating it regularly with such great new content?😊Hands down, this is my #1 fav Procreate add on purchase, _by far._ I'm always super excited when the Gumroad app notification pops up and it's for this comic toolset update😃
You can tell that I'm extremely excited as well about making possible for everyone to create comics in Procreate, that's why I can't stop myself and I keep updating it 🤣 It's awesome to know that the feeling is mutual! Thank you for your support! ❤️
this is one of the best procreate brushsets i've purchased. HIGHLY recommended -- its an incredible time saver and very flexible. its easy to use the out of the box stuff, as well as to use the perfectly tuned DIY brushes to make your own panels, borders, and FX.
@@IttaiManero the only problem I have is I keep buying your sets. im going to go broke! I got crosshatching last week ... sooooooo good. your brushes and Max Ulichney's are my constant go-to brushes
This video and this toolset seem amazing! I'm going to have to get it and have some fun! Thank you so much! You have a great voice for these videos! Keep up the great work!
I just began drawing again - but this time digitally. I cannot thank you enough for the help this has been in helping me learn how to do this digitally. It's been the most frustrating part of drawing on a tablet.
I bought it and it’s very worth it, I just had an issue where it didn’t work at first, but I did the fix you said in the top comment, it’s awesome for comics
Hello! This is the brush outline i have been looking for! But i have some issue with the color. The outline is black but the inside is violet, how to make it default white?
In the top right corner of the color picker there are two squares, those are the primary and secondary colors. You can change them individually by clicking on each and then changing the color. If you want the outline to be black and the filling to be white, make sure you select the white first and the black last, since Procreate interprets your last selected color as the primary, and the previous selected color as the secondary.
Hello! Are you letting go the stroke with a little bit of inertia? Make sure that you don’t finish the stroke by pressing at all with the Apple Pencil. If you are still having trouble, please email me at ittaimanero@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to help. If you can, attach a little video of the issue. Let me know!
Would there be any way to edit the panel brushes so they have the same functionality while using more rough textured lines? For example, the two panel borders would be drawn using the ink bleed brush to give it a more grungy look? cheers!
Hello Brendan! Thanks for your suggestion, it’s an interesting idea that I have been exploring for a few months now. Unfortunately it is not possible to edit already laid down brush strokes in Procreate. I’m trying to find a way to offer other kind of brushstrokes when doing the panels with this set on future updates 😊 I can’t promise anything though! It depends on if I find a way to do it that convinces me
I love this brush set! I've been using this set for a few months but I'm running into an issue as The outline (primary colour) is not showing and only the filling (secondary colour) is showing. Any tips to fix this problem? I have tried deleting and re-installing the brushes and restarting the ipad, but nothing works. All my other brushes are fine. But this problem only happens to the Balloon set, SFX set, and Panel set. Thank you so much!

Hey I think your brushes look great and I do plan on buying the full version but on the free one how come the brush filling is always black and not the color I chose I understand I may be doing something wrong if so please let me know thanks!
Hi, because you need to choose the filling color first and the black last in the secondary and primary colors. The last color you choose becomes the primary, and the primary is the one that is applied to the outline of the balloons.
Yes, I explain it in the minute 4:35 and also in the minute 7:50. If you make the outline of a lighter color than the interior, it will not combine. You need to do always the outline darker than the interior. If you want to have it the other way around, you need to do it like that first and then use color drop to change the colors.
Have you changed anything in the brush settings, willingly or by mistake? If you go to the “About this brush” tab at the bottom of the left column in the brush settings, you can then click on “reset brush” to restore it.
@@IttaiManero I geuss that helps, but it's just that the problem is when testing brush in the drawing pad of the brush setting it appeared fine but when I start using it, the circle shapes are all out of the outline
@@rozy.b5199 if you go to the Actions menu (wrench icon in the top left), then in the Prefs tab, is your Dynamic brush scaling turned off? If so, turn it on. Having it off messes up any kind of dual brushes in Procreate, and all the brushes in this set are dual brushes.
@@rozy.b5199 I’m really trying to, but I’m not being able to replicate this issue in any way, and it is the first time I’m hearing about something like this. Would you be so kind to record your screen and send me a short video to ittaimanero@gmail.com, so I can get a better idea?
@@KAITHEPlE well, it took me months of developing and lots of trial and error until I refined them to the point for this type brushes to be possible the way they work. So I would prefer to not give that info away on a RU-vid comment 😅 You can feel free to download my brushes and have a look under the hood by yourself if you want!
There’s no typographies included with this brush set, but there’s a typography for comics included in Procreate. It is called Jack Armstrong. It is the one I’m using in this video.
@@gummipop that’s weird! Have you tried using the search bar in my Gumroad page? You should be able to find any specific product or freebie. Anyway, here’s the link just in case: ittaimanero.gumroad.com/l/MiniComicToolkit
Tonight I just started using in Procreate 5.3.3 the panel brushes. Primary and secondary colors display in reverse, so black outines are white and secondary fill color is black. BUT when I choose a new color RED for the outline and yellow for the Fill color, that displays correctly. Dynamic brush scaling is turned on. Any help? Thanks
@@idonotagreetothis Hi again! I've just checked it. It is working properly for me, and I have the exact iPad model than you. Are you sure that you're selecting your colors in the right order? Procreate interprets the last color you pick as your primary, and the previous color you selected as your secondary. So in order for the outline to appear black and the filling to appear white, you need to select the white first, and the black last.
@@IttaiManero Thanks that works, I got confused when in selecting a new color for the outline, the current panel brush displayed a black color in the color picker on the left, and drew a black solid line. So you have to pick your outline/fill color first each time you choose a new panel brush?
@@idonotagreetothis I’m not sure I understand your question, but maybe what is confusing you is that the black color was on the left square in the color picker, so you thought that was the primary color. In Procreate, the primary and secondary colors don’t depend on in which side they are in the squares, the primary is always the latest color you pick, and the secondary is always the previous color you picked. Not sure if that answers your question
@@violentcrumble6720 that's helpful to know, thanks! I had recently some more people telling me they were having the same issue. I will suggest this possible solution from now on.
