Love these master boards. Glad you picked the butterfly one for your page. And the word secrets matches perfectly. I feel the butterfly holds the secret of nature how they go from caterpillars to beautiful butterflies. Perfect! TFS! ❤️
Hi Barbara, I really love how cute these mini master boards came together. It's a great way to use those snippets and things you don't normally use. Really fun too.
YEHAAA... why have I only seen this video now? Just thought about it a bit, cleared the work table and found an old box from yourcreativestudio, where I have collected all the things I couldn't figure out how to use, or thought were ugly, not exactly my style, you know the box that was close to be filed vertically....found my 2 boxes of scraps, because I really am a copycat, and then I went to work according to your suggestions. and I have to admit that it was really surprisingly beautiful. Now I can't stop at all. So my big goal of using the old before buying new fits so well with this task. THANKS again for getting me back to my creative desk.🤩
Hi Barbara. I recently started doing master boards. I make them on 12x12 scrapbook card stock then cut it up making 6 postcards size 4x 6. It’s so addicting and it uses up your scraps which is a bonus!
These have so many uses I'm wondering which of them to choose, to incorporate into my junk journaling. I'm thinking that they would be beautiful as part of a stationery set...with envelopes...mmmmm. So pretty Barbara, so vintage! Just divine❣️🌿😁
Loved your larger master boards at the start. These cards are great. The index cards will be very time saving I’m going to try this concept. Great tutorial. Thanks. Love your art.
You had me totally cracked up when you sad about the collages the 3 of them, if my brain can handle it 😂❤️👍 lol 😂, i think you are fabulous, and organized, so saying that yepp it totally fit in with this sharing 😂😂💪🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you for the laugh, i reeeelly needed that this evening, and for the inspiration 😍😘👍 Hugs Pea' 🤗
Hi! I actually stayed watching to see if you had a trick to take the backing off the black and white stickers! I realized I do the same type collages! I just don’t journal. Because I’m legally blind and don’t write much. It’s not a big deal because I love to glue paper together! I also use magazines. It’s a great way to recycle them. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas! 💖🙋🏼♀️🇺🇸📓💖
I love the story of the dragonfly! I had never heard that before. It’s also meaningful that you shared a bit about your former struggles, most of us has something like that lurking around in our past & in our memories. I think trees are my talisman! (therefore I love your your handmade tree stamp! That’s very cool!) Your sweet giggles are like a gently ringing wind chime. You bring happiness to so many of us! Thank you, Barbara.🥰
Yes I have, so many scraps, so little time! 😆 I make them with book pages glued together so they are big (Gayle A. Mask them like that) I let some of the book paper peak out too. Then I cut them as needed
From what I understand, the two major places for focal images are the top left and bottom right of the page. I think it has to do with how English is read. We start reading in the top left corner and finish the page at the bottom right. Anyway, your tendency to add the words to the bottom right is exactly right.
I actually love making master boards in neutrals then I copy them so I can re-use them. I make the larger copy paper size add different pieces to them when I am ready to put them into a journal. Yours are beautiful as usual.
I’m enjoying your style! I too love dragonflies. Can I suggest you photocopy your stamps 🤔, I hate to use up my supplies 😔 maybe just I have hoarder tendencies 😉.
Oh baby girl!! So, yeah, I SHOULD be packing to move - four weeks from today we'll be on the road - but this vid caught my eye, so I've been watching it bit by bit all morning. Virtually ALL my supplies are packed, BUT I did keep enough stuff out that I'll be able to make some mini master boards this evening after I meet with our realtor. ...kind of my "reward" for working so hard! Actually, kind of motivation too - *if* I patch the holes in the walls *then* I can craft tonight, right?? MomK's gettin' too old for this cross-country moving nonsense! 😉🧓🥱 Love you, angel! 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Hi really enjoyed this video it’s so interesting watching the process of making the master boards, you make it look so easy and the results are lovely. More please. Xx
Love how these turned out! I save the cards I get in junk mail from real estate agents, politicians, and such to use as a base to collage on. I'm still working on my technique, but having a lot of fun doing it. Thanks for sharing your talent!
Love these💕 the small size makes collage much more manageable. Love how you showed how to build up each layer. Will definitely try this. Pam from the paper outpost does have s great ideas . 💕
This is again amazing! I love your back grounds and the use of stickers. I have so many and never use them but in this way they fit perfectly. Have a nice week Greetings Maia
Love these and made loads of them on bookpages. From now on they have the name mini master boards😁 also love these to write on and add to happy mail. Have a wonderful week sweetie 😘😘
These are great! I've seen lots of people do large master boards and they seemed overwhelming to me. So I like this idea of doing smaller ones ... dah! Why didn't I think of that?!?! So now I think I'll give it a go! Yours turned out so pretty!
What some might call 'hoarding', crafters call it 'building my stash'. I love the idea of master boards. I think a Nina Ribena video was the first time I saw one being made. (She's quite the master.) These are so pretty! I love all the elements you chose. And I love that they are mini! Thanks for sharing!
I have made several large master boards. I just collage the backgrounds and then make copies of them, so I can add whatever elements I’m in the mood for on top. I even added beeswax once and made it “vellum”. Yours are beautiful and I’m inspired to make more!!
Never attempted these masterpieces.... Jealous of your stamp collection Understand hoarding it, such beauty. Brings such joy just flipping thru the pages. TYFT
Now that. I am a collage convert, I am finding this signature to be the most fun yet! Keep the collages coming! Also, my go to when I want to secure down belly bands and other tuck spots or pockets where I don’t mind a wider adhesive line is to use a double-sided tape runner.
Thank you! I’m not a fan of the tape runners because they are completely unforgiving and have no wiggle room. Also I find their adhesive usually doesn’t last well over the years.
Thank you for sharing your collection of stamps! I think we all hoard something we could use because we love them hehe. I am already using my cards thank you 🥰🎶💐🐩🤗
Hi Barbara, I loved this idea of the mini boards. For some reason I seem so overwhelmed when I start with a large sheet to college. This is wonderful! Thanks!💖
I have been following Pam from the Paper Outpost for close to a year now. Love her. Your mini master boards are beautiful. Will have to give the smaller version of master boards when I don't have a lot of time or don't feel very creative. I think making these smaller ones would help start your creative juices flowing again.♥️
As always , I am breathless watching anything you make. I absolutely love the transparent stickers how you can see through them makes the collage so beautiful. I want to order some of that glue also .Love your snippet paper , I want to buy that digital so as I get my printer up and running. .And , we love you to Barbara!!! Love the master boards 🙌 😍 ❤ Stay safe and blessed
this was wonderful video - i really like the smaller collage cards - will have to make these for sure - and i looooove your Shop - i have put so many things into my cart lol - thank you for sharing your goodies with us - this way it allows us to create just like you teach us - be well xx
Hi Barbara... your cards all turned out so good! I love making master boards both small and large. Recently I've been doing blank pages in my glue book just to have a neutral background to start with. I think I just like gluing things, to be honest :) TFS hugs from Nebraska 💕
