LOVE LOVE LOVE both wigs, but prefer the short one. The look realistic. When I saw the one in colour it put a smile on my face. They both look like your hair.
I did this (it was my first time making a wig ever) and it turned out AMAZING! I crocheted the hair to the wig cap (using cuban twist hair which btw is the best and most natural looking) and then sat the entire thing in hot water. Oh yeah and i left roots in the hair for a more natural look! It took me 3 days (because i had to go to school, buy more hair and sleep lol) but i finished adding the hair to the head in a few hours (like 2 or 3 with breaks) I have a natural color 2/4 hair so i used #2 and i never had highlights before so i mixed t30 with the #2 before i rolled it up and i looks like i have highlights in my hair! Its so beautiful ladies you have to try it! Im addicted I'm making more next up I'm going to use smaller rollers and smaller pieces of hair to make a nice, natural curly fro! I LOVE this for the winter months to protect my hair! Cant thank you enough!
Yes I need this! I still want to wear crochet braids but I cut the sides and back off so I would look kinda crazy. This came just in time, you are wonderful!
Omg, thank you so much for this tutorial. I love the crochet wig method. I was going to do the crochet with the cuban twist hair on my own hair, but I definitely love the wig method better, this way it will be less damage to my hair. Thanks.
Awesome! I love it. I've done crochet braids but took them out after 2 weeks because I missed my hair so much. So making it into a wig is genius! Good job *****
Thank you SO much for this tutorial! I've been wanting to make my own wig but couldn't understand the tutorials. I can't wait to make one for me and my mother.
The short one is fantastic!! I have shoulder length locs and every once in a while long for my non-locd natural hair. This will be a fun project and will give me the non-locd option whenever the mood strikes. Thanks so much for posting this video.
I absolutely ADORE the first wig!! I love crochet braids but I never thought to try a wig! I definitely will be trying out the wigs for winter protective styles!
If i could like this 1000 times. Omg thanks India, I love this. Its perfect, Im so tired of wearing my hair out and I dont want to pay a lot of money to buy a weave and get it installed.
Thank you! I actually have a big bag full of the Cuban twist hair...wore it for easter....was itchy and heavy. The cap was a 3.00 and I've had a crochet hook for years. I was gonna toss it cuz it was rough but now I'm gonna try this....and get some rollers....and this will use less than braiding my own hair. Yep...thank you for that!
Great job! You did a tremendous job on both of them. Just decided to go natural and just learned how to crochet braid on RU-vid. I have to try this for a protective style. Keep up the great work. I am so impressed.
I had no clue that crochet wigs were so easy to make! I will definitely have to try this! How much wear can you get from one wig at a time before it starts to not look too good anymore?
I love the short one and the fact you can play with color without actually dying your hair great vid and I actually watched the girl vid you mentioned before watching this one and she did a awesome job as well
Both wigs are super cute! My favorite would be the short one, the curls and color is EVERYTHING! You look pretty in both wigs 😊. Thanks for sharing.... I think I'll take a crack at it...
I like both of the wigs. I have never thought of wearing wigs but after watching ho you made these and discovering this as a protective style I may consider it.
I ended up crocheting mine to cornrows but a lot of people can't tell it isn't mine. I haven't taken the step of curling it, I just left it as it comes out of the pack so I was channeling Diana Ross for the first week until I cut a few inches. This is the bomb for those of you who, like myself, aren't comfortable with shorter lengths after doing a BC. I'll probably be doing this for the next year - year and a half until I get more length :). I'm making my wig soon! Also a great way to "color" your hair without actually doing it. I've been a red head for about a month lol. I think I'll go with the T1b/27 the next time.
OMG turned out so beautiful! It was our pleasure to meet and help you Love! Thanks so much for the shout out we will be expanding the Cuban twist line with more colors too :)
This is a great idea. I am allergic to synthetic hair. So, I can make a wig and wear a scarf or bonnet to protect my scalp from the synthetic hair. Thanks for the video.
This is literally the most perfect thing THANK YOU Definitely going to DO ITTTTTTTTTT I really want a natural looking wig that will actually look like my hair and this seems do-able!
Your SO beautiful but definitely love both looks on you but I favor the shorter one that's colored. You really inspired me even more to try crochet braids
Definitely going to do the shorter one in 1b. Thanks so much for making this video. The weave cap looks more breathable than a stocking cap for your real hair. So can't wait to try; I usually don't like to wear wigs but like I said the weave cap has a lot of holes in it!! Thanks again.
Great job! Though both wigs are nice, I really think the reddish brown wig looks super, super cute! I'm going to try making that wig very soon! Hopefully it comes out nice, I've never crocheted anything before! Thanks for the awesome tutorial! 😊
Thanks so much this video is right on time. I was considering doing crochet braids but wanted something more protective in this cold icy weather. So a crochet wig is perfect. I will be using Rastafri Dream Romance Curl hair and adding some light brown and blonde highlights to the front. This is perfect because I can reuse the hair and wig unit.
Very Cute!! Definitely interested in creating my own wigs for protective "Winter" styles! Absolutely love the short one. "NIA" is a cute name for that one. The longer one is Sassy as well. Thank you for sharing.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tutorial! I LOVE the short one. I am not an 'hair out' girl! I thank God I am in Houston. I am in love...going shopping for my supplies. I already have plenty of rods. #excited
Ughhh and I JUST bought a new wig that i cant get to blend right and here comes this video showing me that for little or nothing I couldve had what I wanted all the while for WAAAYYY less. Its enough to take u over the edge but i LOVE the short wig!!! I even love the color on u :) thanks for this vid!!
I'm making my 3rd one of these this weekend! After seeing another youtuber do this a few months ago, I was hooked! I just saw Boarderhammer's and your vid, so I'm trying the Cuban Twist instead of the Marley hair this time as well.
***** ha! 'Hooked' lol...don't mind me I'm corny. Anywho, I want to thank yall of you ladies. I am currently rockin a faded a haircut and I was a huge nonbeliever of wigs/weave because like you said it looks too much like a wig. This looks natural and much like your own hair. So I'm hoping that I won't look crazy wearing one, I'm nervous but I want to step out on faith and do something different. Wish me luck!
