How to Make Custom EUP Vest Textures SP/FiveM 

Hey Is there anyway you are able to fully help me, I am creating my own server and the EUP I have for BCSO dose not come with vests and I would love to make my own but I am not able to learn by video only fresh words so if you are able to help me just reply to me when you can.

Hey man I am staff in a server with close to 500 people in it and need a good EUP Maker that can do things like this we want our vest and things to be for all departments not just one so if you want a possible position respond to this and I will give you a discord invite

Save as .dds

The model is from that "EUP Vest and Earpiece" mod. The state trooper skin I found on lcpdfr.com and then obviously the sheriff one I made.

I'm sorry, but it's been a long time since I've fooled with FiveM servers so I can't help you install them into the server. I'm just showing you guys how to make the textures and if you happen to be doing it for lspdfr I show you how to install that. I would recommend searching up something along the lines of "How to replace eup textures fivem" or if you want, I'll research it myself and make a video for it.

I've tried this vest many times and cant get it to work either.

DDS File is the correct format for mip map levels to be created on the textures. PNG works too but you can use to GIMP to save as .dds even if you started with a png

@@OfficialTEG im trying to add a patch from a eup pack onto a vest from the vest and earpiece pack and i want to cover up a logo on the vest with the new one to make a vest for troopers

@@brandonnewton7140 I show you how to do this with patches on uniforms. Its the same concept. In my latest upload. :)

Definitely, you can work with the layers and drag in a picture of your camo design and make it work. Remember to copy and paste stuff to layers that you don't want the camo to cover, like straps, patches etc.

Well if you download a pre existing mod and start browsing it's objects you'll sort of be able to reverse engineer it. What you're wanting to do is possible and isn't hard. You need to open the. Ytd of a vest and see how many texture files it has. Usually the model viewer only shows your the first texture (texture_000_a, texture_000_b) and so on. You'll have to do some digging but you'll be able to piece it together . I haven't done it myself in a while so I've forgotten exactly how to do it but I have done it before.

@@OfficialTEG well, I have the best I like. Just don’t know how to label the texture file to have multiple textures for one style of vest.

In other words, I don’t want to change the original texture. Just be able to add a different texture to the existing one. Say, I want to use the same vest for police, sheriff, and highway patrol

@@guitarvideosbychadmood1051 I get what you want to for that's why I advised checking out other mods and opening a vest folder to see how they label the multiple textures on that one vest. All vests have "task" in the name. So "task_001 is the object/model file. task_diff_001 would be the first texture file for that vest" the first textured is then followed by the other textures like "task_diff_001_a, task_diff_001_b, task_diff_001_c, and so on.

@@OfficialTEG okay, I see that and I have labeled the vest like that. In the case I’m referring to is, task_diff_000_a_uni. That’s the first texture. So, I labeled the second texture, task_diff_000_b_uni. But, only the first texture shows up in game. It’s frustrating

You start adding letters to each texture file you have for the vest. "Task_001_a, task_001_b" and so on for each livery. Then in game just change textures of a given model using a trainer.

Visit the rest of my EUP videos to get a better idea of where you can find said "shit"

If the edited texture isn't in the first slot of textures for that model, you will not be able to preview it in the model viewer. It's needs to be texture_001 or first on alphabetical slot to see it in the preview. If it isn't showing up in game, try changing the textures of that model with a trainer. If that doesnt works then chances are you made a mistake during during installation process.

@@OfficialTEG ok so I got the texture replaced but when I go back into the texture viewer its just back to the original one. (By the way can I save it as a png file and then upload the texture because the may be the problem).

@@GameJacko make sure you're saving as it's original file type. Like .dds

Make sure you rename your ytd to (whatever_a) the ydd will only show the first texture in a list of multiple textures
